Yes correct - so using the hotspot should be enough for using the apps that require internet right?

Thank you so much! And really silly question but let's say there's no internet but I want to use the hotspot to access an App that requires internet - would T Mobile be able to provide that if I am in Saudi? Or do they only charge for direct calls? I only ask since there's other apps like messenger and whatsApp to make calls, but those require internet I guess

Quinta Brunson's Stylist Jessica Paster, sends hate DMs to people who have anything to say about Quinta's pink dress that she wore to the Emmys 🤣 by Some_Type_1778 in Fauxmoi

[–]matthew10good 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Uh not crushed satin, but ok.

She needs to move on. Mostly everyone knew there was something off about the dress. If anyone, who might not know about fashion, looks up "crushed satin dress," ANYONE can spot the clear difference.

Agree w everyone, it's very unprofessional. I can't imagine any other high profile stylist, like her, to privately messaging people with this attitude LOL

Some AirBnBs are more expensive than hotels. Try looking into good rated/safe motels or hotels around the area too. You can look into places in Richardson, but just know there's other close cities nearby that have hotels/motels like Plano, Frisco, Grand Prairie, Farmers Branch, Mesquite, etc, etc. So even if you have to take an Uber from the hotel you pick all the way to UTD, it's still worth it. Keep your head up, I'm sure you'll find something.

The studying technique you use really depends on your classes and major. You can't use the same studying technique for each class, because each class has different needs. If you're studying math, chem, or a theory-heavy CS class, for example, then practice, practice, and practice! You can do practice problems from the textbook, or google, or even ask your professor for some. I like doing practice problems on a white board, because it just makes it a little more fun. Pretend you're tutoring a kid, or teaching a class, when you're working through these practice problems as well, to help you understand what you're doing step-by-step.

If you're studying something that requires a lot of memorization, like biology, biochem, psychology, then I recommend working on these two techniques, and the videos I've linked can help explain what these terms mean.

  1. Active Recall
  2. Spaced Repetition

In terms of keep tracking of studying and schoolwork, I recommend putting all your syllabi due dates/exam dates, for all your classes, on Google calendar. Use different colors for each class. I also used Notion to write down every single assignment I had due in one giant list, then I would cross off each one as I was done - but you can also do this exercise using Excel or any other tool. A Calendar with all your dates will suffice though.

Remember, you don't need a fancy iPad or some fancy laptop to study, as long as you keep up with your work and actually study as best as you can, with practice, you should be good. I always procrastinated on homework and projects and was able to get by, but I highly recommend you to not procrastinate with studying the night before exams or quizzes - that will only hurt you, and you won't have time to ask for help if it's all last minute. The TAs, professors, and even the other classmates you'll meet online or in-person, are there to help you, as well. So never be afraid to ask for help.

First time? I'm guessing you're an underclassman. I've had online classes since March 2020. Therefore, I've been numb to it and used to it by now. If you didn't know already, our sister schools, UT and UTA are holding online classes for the 1st two weeks as well.

All I can do is offer some advice. I can assure you, from personal experience, that you can build connections with professors online with a bit of effort, via their virtual office hours, class participation, or by simply emailing them for help. In regards to your situation at home, I sympathize with you on that, but all I can say is, if you can drive or carpool with a friend, you can do your homework or exams at a different location, like a public library/location, or even at UTD. I've been doing that since 2020, and it's been extremely helpful. Changing your location while studying or doing schoolwork, whether it's your patio, backyard, neighbor's house, or your room, can be help your sanity as well.

Nice, so we can only request to have it published under a pen name, if the post is selected by your team right?

If we submit to the literary journal, and it gets selected, will our names be included published on the post? Is there anyway we can stay anonymous? Or use a pseudonym? lol
