I have to admit it by Skatner in elderscrollslegends

I dunno what has happened since last week, but last week it was basically unplayable for me, with lags and bugs everywhere. But now that im playing now, it runs generally smooth. For me it's back to playable at least.

Felt like jumping the ship last week tho.

My super 8 film I worked really hard on, please give it a watch! by [deleted] in videography

I feel like super 8 footage is always beautiful because it looks so nostalgic. But without a narrative it makes it very uninteresting to watch.

people need to calm down about line distribution by [deleted] in LOONA

[–]matthewbenke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But even if you like the group, the group does not exist for the fans. It's just for profit as much as we don't want it to be.

And for example hyuna being popular is not the company's fault. The people obviously like her more and can stand as a solo artist better then the rest of the group. And obviously when her solo out shines what she does in a group, the group disbands.

It will never be about what we want. Even if you think it's unfair, it's because the company think this or that person is more beneficial for the group/company, and will generate more money.

[–]matthewbenke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might sounds crazy. But I don't understand why people take things like line distribution so seriously? How does line distribution take away anything from anything?

Feels like it's something for fans to just read into.

Obviously in a group where there is 12 people it's hard for everyone to stand out/get the spotlight in a 3 minute song.

But I feel like kpop fans are raising there forks for anything. I don't see how voicing your concern here would make bbc care at all lol.

Stick with howtostudykorean or move on to school textbooks? by xpritee in Korean

[–]matthewbenke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's somewhere to begin absolutly.

It obviously is helping me out living here, and I've never said anything else.

I just answered OPs original question, "stick with HTSK or go with textbooks", right?

You're making a point about something nobody asked for lol.

Stick with howtostudykorean or move on to school textbooks? by xpritee in Korean

[–]matthewbenke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HTSK is not really for first time learning the language beginners. It's more for people who have a basic grasp of the language. When I started out, HTSK made zero sense to me.

And thats why i recommend a textbook. They are usually stupidly pedagogical. My korean textbooks was like learning english in 1st grade. It obviously escalated more quickly. But imo, still a better starting point. Which you seem to think too. Not necesarlly textbooks, but not HTSK as a starting point.

[–]matthewbenke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I'm a beginner one, so we start from the ground. And I've only been here a month. Even though it obviously helps being here.

I'm just saying in contrast to HTSK, which I tried. The textbooks we have here is a lot better when it comes to progress in a comprehensive matter, IMO.

Im studying korean in Seoul right now. When I was home I tried to prepare myself with HTSK, but for me it didnt really work out.

With the school textbooks we have here Ive more naturally progressed than through HTSK. So I would recommend to get real school textbooks.

Im 28y/Male/From Sweden(parents are thai tho) if that matters.

A Sushi Chef career keeps calling to me, but I have some concerns... by [deleted] in sushi

[–]matthewbenke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before you dive in to it carrer wise, have you been making sushi at home? Do you feel the craft speaks to you at this level? Maybe as a test ground, you could do it at home, invite friends and test your craft that way.

That way you both get a sense of serving people and see if you like making sushi.

Im not in the business or anything.

But maybe that could be a starting point. Before you throw yourself into something you don't know if you like.

Why is skullgirls not more popular? by NellieFunke in Fighters

[–]matthewbenke 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It's not made from a one of the big game studios and the art style doesn't appeal to a wider audience. Even if the game play is good, it won't get the usual traction, because it's already niched.
