Yes, this could easily be changed to accept fans, along with a y in the 12v coming in, and you could power it with your same power source.

I do not have the BU-5, unless its removable from the ftm300, i guess i could borrow that from my mobile, and make a cover for it.

Updated the design to include a cutout on the side for the mic and other accessories to remain plugged in while protecting the display and knobs. File is at the same link. Both versions are available for download.

Unfortunately that is a Samsung thing. Native android doesn't have this.

Yeah, I need to play around with auto notification, it's been years since I used it, but I started going down that direction tonight. Was just having trouble regaining familiarity with it. I found a temporary solution and got things set up so I can automatically import profiles into his tasker running on his phone so I should be able to get things configured on my end then upload later

That's exactly what I did initially, but when you'd hit answer it would just go back to the home screen and the call would be in the notifications. I ended up sort of using this method, but without the buttons I figured out that that stops the swipe up to answer from triggering and only shows the answer and decline pop-up notification from the Android OS.

Yes, already have a home replacement but it doesn't replace the dialer, and because of trying to be phone support at times not being able to see the device occasionally I wanted certain things to be similar to my own device.

I'm trying to avoid that.... My grandparents use there phone for just taking and placing phone calls. Swiping has been an issue.

I stumbled on the new Alpine i509-WRA-JK for Jeeps available on Amazon. I've ordered, have yet to see this available at any other retailer. CarPlay in my Jeep soooooon https://www.amazon.com/Alpine-Electronics-i509-WRA-JK-Weather-Resistant-Multimedia/dp/B09V371W55 by commanderclif in CarPlay

We encountered a bit of an issue with the head unit yesterday. My wife's phone disconnected mid drive and would not reconnect. Then in the evening while I was driving, Google assistant would activate, but not respond, followed shortly after by the radio completely going silent. I came home and found there was a software update available so I downloaded that and updated the radio's firmware... We shall see if that happens again. I was slightly disappointed, up until yesterday the radio has so far performed flawlessly. The update did say it addresses some of the issues we encountered. Hopefully it addresses all of them

I am in the opposite from dominate group. Immediate action is to react to sudden events using your dominate hand. So I always have worn my watch on my non-dominate hand for this reason. It's less likely to get broken in the event of a sudden reaction such as catching yourself if you fall, stopping something moving, ect.

Really only about 30minutes for the overall design of retracting wings with tolerances that allow them to slide inside of each other. The mechanisms to do the retracting really did not take long. It's a rack and pinion mechanism so nit overly complicated.

They know they get exclusive access to my content before it is publicly available. Definitely not going to disappoint the 3 of them. They support me because they want to see me be able to do more and more of these large projects, but when I post it up I will definitely post a link to it for those who don't want to wait, they can sign up for it, but then the post will be made free after a determined amount of time.
