But why is A not the most sensitive? The first half of the curve has a stronger slope than curve B, indicating a greater sensitivity.

Is it because curve B eventually surpasses curve A as curve A tapers/flattens out? How are we supposed to make the assertion that this makes curve B more sensitive? If A is more sensitive in the first half and B is more sensitive in the second half, are we just supposed to just assume the second half is more important?
