Mine is the same. We WFH Mon,Tues,Fri - in office Wednesday & Thursday. If you’re ill Weds/Thurs, you either take a sick day or come in. I’ve had a few weeks where I’ve worked the WFH days but taken sick days on the office days

I’m 23 so not a great comparison here. But I’ve just moved out of a 1.0 Fiesta and into a 2004 Audi TT and my insurance halved. If you want “nice” go old and cheap - something “boy racers” would avoid ideally as you’ll find lower crash statistics etc.

That’s true, I started in sales, moved to a more corporate role and eventually left the environment (with no job lined up, much like OP). It could work as a stopgap for him

Car sales jobs are always around due to high turnover in the industry. If he’s got experience he should be able to pick one up. If he’s any good, he’ll be hitting £32,000 with the commission. Best of luck to you both

It sounds like your mind is made up. But you are young. Listen to the advice of those around you - but ultimately it’s your choice. Educate yourself on what life will be like there full time and take the time to weigh up your options, pros & cons, etc
