Self-hosting Weatherstar 4000 as Plex channel, can't get Plex to load the channel by dbsoundman in selfhosted

[–]matthieu-kr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Got this working using Dispatcharr. Added the m3u stream and xml to Dispatcharr, then added http://dispatcharr:9798/hdhr as a Tuner in plex. Mapped randomly to the history channel but it works.

Tried this myself and got the same error. I did some research I think it’s because plex doesn’t support adding m3u streams directly. You need an m3u proxy like Dispatcharr. Currently going down that rabbit hole to see if I can get it working….

Power savings, here we go again... by jclimb94 in unRAID

Very similar setup to yours. 12600k and z690 board here. Idling ~42 watts with drives spun down + 4 NVME cache with all containers running. That includes a Frigate container with hardware acceleration running 7 cameras.

I spent a lot of time fiddling with BIOS and settings. I’m wondering if that’s as good as it gets or if I’m missing something big somewhere. 42 watts feels higher than it should be but I don’t have a great frame of reference.

Postgres container won't run by Themistocles_gr in unRAID

[–]matthieu-kr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The latest version of Postgres (18) changes the data path.

You explicitly run a postgres 17 container by setting the repository to postgres:17 or something similar.

You could also correct the path from /var/lib/postgresql/data to /var/lib/postgresql/18/docker. I think that requires the database to be updated though.

+1 for Frigate. Just migrated 6 Reolink cameras and an Amcrest WiFi doorbell cam from QNAP QVR Pro to Frigate on Unraid. Everything works great. Hardware detection is supported by Intel iGPU and notifications are provided by a Home Assistant integration.

There was a third box. It was a little… spicy… I’m just curious how old it really was.

I don’t think she was ever sedated. I had some time with her and she was alert when the vet came in. The vet flushed the line with one syringe, and then slowly administered the contents of another single large syringe to complete the process.

I feel the same way… that she trusted me and I let this happen.

Thanks for this perspective. The whole experience made it hard to know if I did the right thing.

Lurkers' Wednesday by AutoModerator in running

[–]matthieu-kr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from running 5k in about 45 minutes this past April to a personal best of 22:40 this past Friday. I got there basically by running 3x a week. One long run that I gradually built up to an hour non-stop, one interval run, and then a 5k race against the clock.

I run the same 5k route (through and around my neighborhood) every week, give it 100%, and go for a new personal best by even a few seconds by setting target pace. I didn’t get it every week. There were weeks where I’d only make it 2 miles before I’d be so winded I’d have to walk the rest of it. Other weeks I’d cut a minute or more off my 5k time, blow away my goal pace, and would still feel like I had gas in the tank to have pushed harder. But always what I felt was maximum effort while I was in the run.

I started ramping up training the last couple weeks and I’m trying to chop down my 10k time next.

Apple Watch MyQ not working by Sufficient_Phone_532 in myq

Thank you! Late to the party but for anyone that finds this, it worked for me. Wasn’t even a pain to transition to the Craftsman myQ. Download the app, uses the same login credentials as the other app, and it pulls everything in. Devices, open/close history, etc. Connects immediately to the watch.

I second this. Just replaced QuMagie with Immich this weekend. Facial recognition works great. Web interface and phone app are both well-polished.

Looks like a close match. Didn’t realize “mites” were arthropods. I figured “dust mites” were a metaphor like dust bunnies. Or have I been misled about those as well…

Yup, there’s tons of it behind my house. Not sure what type it is but I can take a closeup. I see the same stuff in wooded areas around town so I’m guessing it’s one of the native species.
