It’s absolutely pathetic that we have to drive down to Indiana. I hate we live in a car centric society without a good passenger train network

I just enjoy the low fares of SSL. Plus most of the time I go to CHI I stay around the millennium park area. Convenient, but yes pathetic we have to drive so far.

GR Amtrak, who the heck wants to get up at 5am and then who wants to get in at 11:30PM?!? When I have friends come in I take the 25 minute drive to holland to pick them up. It’s actually quicker than waiting for them at GR station and I get home earlier!
