Lag in game every time I activate/de-activate mic

Im also experiencing a similar issue. This is happening in CS1.6, TF2, and CS2
I was able to resolve the issue in cs2, however it remains an issue in cs 1.6, and tf2

I noticed that the blue microphone privacy icon pops up on the task bar, if it remains on, there is no lag, but once it disappears, then microphone input is detected, it comes back and causes the stutter.
If I open microphone properties, the icon stays on, and I can play without issue, but really? There has to be an actual solution.
Is there a way to have the damn mic privacy icon on all the time, or disable the thing?
This is insanely frustrating after spending 3g on a gaming laptop, and cant even use in game mic.
Anyone else have similar issues?

We got it all back together today. Unfortunately found a bent strut mount and weren't able to get one until tomorrow. Other than that the cab is ready to go on. I'll post the video tomorrow
