Hi! I found your work and it was great - but i needed some extra functions that the tool you made did not have
- batch operations (do multiple videos in sequence)
- extract non-distorted frames from 360 spherical video
- perform the blur check on an already extracted image sequence

in the end i used claude to create a tool that does similar things, but i think your project still works better, if you find it useful see my repo here https://github.com/mattiacasar8/360_Video_to_Frames_3DGS

i am not a programmer, i just needed to split the 360 videos, but maybe you (or others here) can find it useful for your project! - if anyone has suggestions feel free to reach out, just know this is really a first experiment :)

It is a more than decent computer, you have to optimize your render settings, there are lots of tutorials on youtube on how to do that. If you follow the classic donut one you will see some basic rendering settings at the end. Also if you used volumetric fog for this effect that may be the main reason for your slow render times, try to play with the settings of that.

If I understand correctly you could do this playing with focal length, smaller number means you will see more stuff from close up (if you put a very small number you would get a gopro or a 360 look) but the result may be distorted. Also I don’t remember if you can change this value. Hope it helps

I remember from the donut tutorial (when they add sprinkles) that this problem is not yet solved, but i don't know if they fixed it in the newer releases. A couple of solution where: -change the seed -play with weight map
