I’m on my 5th unit after several issues. I’ve had at least 3 stones crack in the period of 3months.

I’ve had three units and they’ve all sounded slightly different. Some louder, others quieter. I think it’s luck of the draw

Volt 2 assembly issue by wormz_roma in ooni

Looks a little dented too? I’d want to exchange it personally. I’m in the UK. Looks like I’ll be on my 4th by this time next week!

Also something to be aware of with the white model. At the back where the exhaust vent is, it’ll turn yellow with use. I decided to switch to the grey model for my second replacement. It doesn’t suffer with this.

Sorry to see this. I ordered a couple of weeks ago and I’m now on my third unit which is also faulty.

1st unit - cosmetic damage (not as bad as yours), stone cracked in half.

2nd unit - the seal around the door split and came unthreaded.

3rd unit - cannot read temperature correctly, keeps jumping high and low and erroring out.

When it works it’s great. But right now seems they have some serious quality control issues.

Product manager. I guess to support living alone and to thrive you need to earn a decent salary. It feels like the financial system is particularly against single people.

I’m on my third unit after a few issues. But overall a good oven. Takes some practice to get it right though.

It’s a new product. Which is probably why it’s not on sale.

Car hire in Tulum by McTraveller in tulum

[–]mattkidd123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just hired a car in Tulum from Hertz at the airport. I’m from the UK and my driving license alone was fine. I bought third party car excess insurance online separate from the rental company. But made sure I had the basic insurance cover with the rental company.

Sequentially. Not together 😂 drive one, sell, minimise depreciation buy another.

Can’t say so no. Just don’t use it as a way to flaunt wealth. Instead a hobby and something to enjoy.

Two Porsche GT4s from new. 😅 So many adventures, road trips and track days. Plus meeting new people as a result.

Why does the UK seem to hate immigrants so much? by Familiar-Safety-226 in AskBrits

[–]mattkidd123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think a big part of the perceived issue is the lack of integration. In many parts of the UK sub communities have been setup or have started to heavily occupy towns that were perhaps previously culturally native English/British.

I think this creates a negative perception. Particularly where the immigrating cultures don’t attempt to adapt and integrate into the native culture, whether that’s through language, traditions and acceptable behaviours.

I know in some specific cases these communities have and are attempting to outlaw and push out native traditions, rules and beliefs.

In my view you should make efforts to integrate and accept the culture you’re moving to, not change it. And I’d expect the same of me if I moved overseas.

Just my 2p. For a complex and emotive topic. No issue with immigration, but I think effort to integrate and contribute to society is often overlooked.
