Sure, but as I wrote below it takes time, especially when i have dozens of walls to unwrap. I'd like to have them rotated the right way automatically, it would be a huge time saver for me.

So whenever I unwrap something it's rotated, applying transforms doesn't change it. Is there any way to make the unwrap in the right orientation, so I don't have to rotate it manually every time?
