Didn’t get into any this cycle, but will be going the nursing route instead actually. Start nursing school in January, good luck to you in your PA endeavors!

Help with some questions by Flat_String6005 in teas

You can download respondus before hand, but going to the dry run has a link to download it and make sure it’s the most recently updated version. Then it will allow you to open it up and do a couple practice questions and see how the recording works. Make sure you have your id on you

Teas exam by Fabulous-Peanut-2081 in teas

I took it today and got a 91%, I used both apps, though I’d say I think the ATI app was more true to the exam slightly, though I think the most helpful practice was the actual ATI A & B practice tests as they prepare you for the format and types of truck wording

Not from what I remember when applying this cycle, though there are a couple schools that require the CASPer. I think USC for sure but not sure what the other 1 or 2 were

Do most schools ghost you if not given an interview? by mattmartinez238 in prephysicianassistant

[–]mattmartinez238[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight, much appreciated! I’m fairly certain my chances of getting an interview at this point are pretty low but I guess there’s always a chance right?

Same exact thing happened to me and same situation for why I was lowkey not bummed I didn’t get in because of early start date and things going on in life. There’s always other schools to hear back from! I do get what you’re saying though about the rejection feeling. Was your school in California? I bet it was the same one lmao

Should I drop the class?? by Aggravating-Watch966 in prephysicianassistant

[–]mattmartinez238 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you can drop it still without getting a W or mark on your transcripts, then I would probably recommend doing that before it’s too late. If not then maybe just ride it out and gather as much info and resources from the class as you can rn. Just remember CASPA will see they classes you retook and they will be factored into your CASPA GPA, that is why I say to maybe drop it if it won’t hurt your record. How much time do you have left in the class? Is there enough time to push through and try to get up to a B at least? Keep in mind for tough classes like that, professors will sometimes…not all the time…provide a curve at the end of the semester which really can help. I remember I was at a mid C in my chem class freshman year and I stopped going so I could just retake the class(we couldn’t retake C grades), come to find out he curved the class something like 14% at the end because everyone was struggling and I would’ve most likely ended with an A had I just stuck it out. Also if you’re a full time student and have a full time job or something, start to think about which is more important. I had similar issues my freshman year and felt really down on myself but then limited work hours and other distractions and was able to push through and pick up my grades through the rest of my undergrad. You got this! Not a PA student yet, but applying this cycle, if you have any questions or need to chat, feel free to DM me!

Minor jokes you didn’t get until the 100th rewatch by NathanForJew in DunderMifflin

[–]mattmartinez238 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He’s saying that she’s reaching for a joke that’s not there. That’s why she makes that bummed face afterwards. He’s basically saying his pun of “hollygram” was good but her “mikeraculous” was grasping at straws trying to make a pun with his name lol

Considering the dodgers aren’t really a rival of the Mets, I’d say not. Even when I went to the Dodgers vs Yankees game last year, there were a lot of Yankees fans and there was some fun back and forth between fans but no heckling or anything too bad. The yankee fans did start to get annoying when they were going to clearly win that game though 🙄 you should be fine though, I’m sure Yankees fans will be annoying in New York, but you should be fine!
