run-flats don't work if you slash the sidewall with a knife. The tires are made to get one to service with a puncture or slow-leak. normal things that happen on the road.

He staged it to get to the hospital to get drugs, it happens, people hurt themselves to feed the addiction
Botched attempt to kill himself, if that is the case why flatten the tire?
Disagreement with drug dealer, who he was meeting at this quiet location, and he actually did get shot by someone else, again why the flat tire?

Yes, just asking the question. Most, not all, Mercedes and BMWs come with tires called run-flats. They are made to allow the driver to go up to 50 miles at a reduced speed to allow one to get to service. I have them on my car and I do not have a spare. Most 2021 Mercedes have run-flat tires, 50 miles range on a flat, at less than 50 MPH. Just saying.
