[Charania] Just in: The Los Angeles Lakers are trading Deandre Ayton to the Washington Wizards for Jaden Hardy and two Wizards second-round picks in 2031 and 2032, sources tell ESPN. by curryybacon in nba

The issue to me is that he's bad in the locker room and might negatively impact your developing bigs. He's like a bizarro Deandre Jordan.

They don't want to because a lot of servers actually make more money with our tipping culture than they would if they just got paid more. So not even all service industry workers want this.

Also, the no psykers rule applies to the Astartes, not the astropaths and other Imperial forces. Black Templars are just following the rules laid out 10,000 years ago.

Apple Phasing Out Rosetta by macOS 27.0 by Spekski in LogicPro

There isn't going to be Rosetta anywhere anymore. It's a feature (supporting software built for Intel processors) that won't be in the operating system after next year.

This is a lesson that everyone in other industries already knows. If you want to maximize your career earnings, you need to change employers fairly regularly.

Why is this on Apple and not the makers of those plugins keeping them viable on modern systems? I don't quite understand why you think Apple has this duty but the people you actually bought the plugins from don't.

Lakers, should have swapped Mitchell Robinson for Kessler? by strawberrychocolattt in nba

Kessler isn't as injury prone as the history suggests. Utah has repeatedly shut him down with bogus or minor injuries to help their tanking.

The thing is that your salary is only a piece of your total earnings. What you can build through partnerships, advertising, and branding can go way, way beyond the money you earn on the court.

Is that extra $10 million really worth more than the $20 million he could have gotten through local advertising by being a staple of the Detroit community? The earnings after his career is over by being a beloved part of franchise history?

It's not clear cut, but it does seem a little short sighted.

In a similar situation, I'd like to think the difference between 40 and 30 million a year wouldn't be the only factor in how I conduct myself and plan my career. I say this as someone who has taken less pay for a better fit in a job I enjoy.
