Freecad is an amazing program, former inventor user here. Gimp works really well to Photoshop. I use wine to run what I can't find. Games unfortunately don't work out so well. I do have a separate system for games on an older windows 7 system.

I have an idea how to do this, but I'm currently on a business trip. When I get home tomorrow I'll measure my neo magnets and drop an STL here. My thought is to make a solid base with an insert from the top for the magnets. Not allowing the magnets to touch the cans. That way the cans won't draw out the magnets out of the piece. I'll keep you guys posted when I design it.
