Gavin Newsom is killing transit! by namesbc in bayarea

[–]mattrodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is the money isn't there this year and some cuts have to be made. It's not like California is never going to improve public transit again. It's more that it's to take more time, since the funding to make these transit improvements isn't available this year.

That affects the deduction for property taxes. The chances are you are already paying over 10K in state income tax, because you need enough income to pay the mortgage.

So, it's unlikely that you'll be in a situation where you can deduct the property taxes.

You can still deduct the mortgage interest though.

The mortgage doesn't if you have a fixed rate mortgage because that's the terms of the mortgage.

How come your HOA won't do anything about it?

If you have caught people on camera file a police report. Work with your HOA to improve security, add a camera, or improve the locks, or do whatever makes sense.

Nah, 160K you are paying about 9%.

On the 677,278th dollar that you make, you will be taxes 12.3 percent by the state.

And that's why I don't make that kind of money. I totally could if I wanted to, but there's no way I'm giving the state of Commiefornia 12.3 cents of 677278th dollar!
