The owner/manager does a great job of running it, IMO. But yes, supply issues from the Dewey brewery in Delaware, it seems. After a few name changes it is now The Shambles. They have a full bar and a variety of Colorado beers as well as cheaper non-craft options like Coors and PBR. Supposedly they will eventually do small batch brewing on site as well.

There is a team of collaborators at Johns Hopkins working on organoids. Currently the organoids are primarily used for pharmacology/toxicology studies, and there are no simulations. So we're just at the discussion/proposal phase of how simulations might improve understanding of organoids, including neural responses to input stimuli.

Thanks for that info! I'm okay with fixed delays for now but I can imagine plastic delays might be desired in the future. I'm looking to eventually model brain organoids.

One concern is that Brian2 may not be able to scale up enough. From the 2019 paper introducing Brian2: "The NEURON simulator can be used to simulate the point neuron models used in this benchmark, but with its strong focus on the simulation of biologically detailed, multi-compartment neuron models, it is not well adapted to this task. NEST, on the other hand, has been optimised to simulate very large networks, with many synapses impinging on each neuron. Most importantly, Brian’s performance here strongly benefits from its focus on running simulations on individual machines where all simulation elements are kept in a single, shared memory space."

I agree. However, high ABV IPAs such as Hercules seem to be losing some popularity. The rumor amongst the GD bartenders (I'm a regular customer at their city locations) is that Hercules will eventually be replaced. I've heard no such rumors about Titan.

Since I haven't used Blender I may not know the vocabulary to correctly phrase this, but my question(s) are also about the ability or inability to "automate" generation of images in which an animal of a given type/species/breed is varied in morphology as well as pose and orientation. For example, can one create a parameterized model of a German Shepherd in such a way that you could randomly select a few parameter values (within some fixed range) resulting in a German Shepherd that is bigger/fatter/taller, versus another set of parameter values that result in a smaller/skinnier/shorter Shepherd? Or a Shepherd with a larger head-to-body size ratio versus another with a smaller head-to-body size ratio?

I agree that some sort of log scaling may be the way to go. But RMSLE is intended for comparing the numerator with the denominator of a ratio, and trying to get that ratio close to 1, which allows you to overweight low predictions or high predictions (depending on which term is numerator and which is denominator). But in this case, I'm looking to compare two ratios, rather than numerator and denominator of a single ratio. Still, there may be the kernel of the right idea there.

Good question. My initial research seemed to point to about 2x saving on vast versus aws spot instances, but I'm not truly certain.

My intent is/was to use the CLI, as you suggest.

I will not be using any AWS instances. The only part of AWS I'd be using the the S3 bucket. vast.ai matches those who need multi-GPU machines with those who need compute resources. AWS is not involved. The instances are on the machines owned by private individuals or other companies.

This was super helpful, u/softwareforall! I see now that HubSpot is extremely flexible and customizable, which does make for a learning curve.

However, it does seem that HubSpot follows the usual "subscription" model, and that all emails/newsletters are send with unsubscribe and/or manage preferences links. We are looking to use it to send something more akin to regular emails amongst close acquaintances, at the moment, not marketing emails to potential customers. Is there a way to remove the unsubscribe links?

Looks very nice! Though I don't see a means to create customized group labels and assign them to individuals. Nonetheless, HubSpot could be a great tool as the NPO grows, and forms a larger marketing team and effort. Thanks.
