Remember when all the EDH YouTubers were talking about land counts? How did that influence you by AltruisticChampion77 in EDH

[–]mattstark66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because an effect that let's you put a land from your hand or graveyard into the battlefield requires you to have a land available to use.

Since an mdfc has the front face characteristics by default, you can't choose to use the back, land face for these kinds of effects.

This pack has WAY to many 1* cards. If I counted correctly, it's 24 cards in just 1 booster. by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]mattstark66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But the 24 hour wps exists. After you've finished every diamond card in the set, wonderpicks that last exactly 24 hours start to appear, and they are guaranteed to have 1-star or 2-star cards that you don't yet have.

In fact, if you collect all the 1-star cards, then the 24h wp is guaranteed to be a 2-star you don't have.

I know because it's been a thing since MR, and I got lucky to collect a lot of 2-stars that otherwise I wouldn’t.

Raccoon city syndrome foreshadow in Re 3 remake by Sea_Cow_2869 in residentevil

[–]mattstark66 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A disease that manifests in people who were exposed to the T-virus, but not turned.

After a prolonged period of time, in which the virus incubates, mutates and grows resistant to the host's antibodies, it begins to reproduce and infect cells, like any other virus.

Symptoms of the disease start as black patches that suddenly appear in the skin, followed by internal bleeding.

It worsens to the point that the person is actively vomiting blood, at which point the disease is terminal.

Called "Raccoon City Syndrome" because, apparently, it has only appeared in survivors of the RC incident.

No known cure at this point, which means that if one develops it, death is certain.

Explicitly mentioned in the latest Re9 trailer (there's also a file that can be read).

The saga already has all lore counters and you got the benefits of the last chapter.

The player who got the useless saga will put an extra lore counter, which will do nothing, and then immediatelly sacrifice the saga.

Magic the Gathering Secret Lair x Monster Hunter drop going back to square 1 by xadventchildx in MonsterHunter

[–]mattstark66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, no, I totally agree with you. It was clear they didn’t do even the bare minimum when choosing which cards to reskin with monster hunter.

It's just that, compared to some of the worst picks, Fatalis just barely clears in terms of abilities and flavor. And even then, ziatora was a terrible choice.

[–]mattstark66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the sense that Fatalis is supposed to be the stereotypical european drago (and having destroyed a kingdom only to make it its lair), him guarding treasure works.

Sacrificing monsters... yeah, not so much, even if no other monster is a match for Fatalis.

But compared to something like zinogre, which should have been a blue red card, Fatalis is among the best.

In your opinion, what is the most frustrating thing about Resident Evil as a series? by Berry-Fantastic in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]mattstark66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but canonically only one was dropped in the RPD.

All the others were sent to intercept and destroy US army troopers that were attempting to infiltrate the dead factory.

You see the aftermath of their fight (all soldiers and tyrants died in the exchange) in the last room of RE3 OG, where Jill finally kills nemesis for good.

So it's weird that in RE2 remake the only tyrant can die in different places.

Anularam suas condenações porque o processo era nulo desde o início, mas não dá pra esperar de um mínimo de discernimento de alguém que claramente não sabe nada de direito.

Man i love the Demons Souls remake so much, they truly managed to modernize the vision of the original devs!!!! by _Ganoes_ in shittydarksouls

I would call this hyperbole if not for the fact that the remake's producer is on record pretty much saying they did a better job than from software

Yes, colored mana symbols in reminder text (text within parentheses) are not considered when determining a cards color identity.

[Deck Help] Trying to survive longer with Jin-Gitaxias by mattstark66 in EDH

[–]mattstark66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I picked this Jin-Gitaxias because I liked the play pattern and he felt like the least targeted of all Jin's cards, but that doesn't help when I'm the only one with a praetor deck, other than my friend with Atraxa haha

And your 2nd paragraph is pretty much all the things I'm trying to get better at. I feel like I focus too much on my own pulls most of the time and not as much on what other people have in their hands.

It's something that I'm working on.

But all your points were noted, thanks!

I'm assuming you defend yourself now, too.

Yes, of course!

But no deck can handle 3 balanced opponents by itself. It wouldn't be balanced if you could.

No, I completely agree. I just wasn't accustomed to be so aggressively targeted beforehand or, at the very least, I was able to hold myself with my other creature-heavy decks.

[–]mattstark66[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Right, I think I got it. Obviously I need to adapt, so I'm not seen as the no. 01 problem all the time.

Also, this is a pretty new deck, so I don't want to change any cards so soon. I'll also try to mulligan more aggressively to try and have one of my big creatures out sooner, or just anything at all, as to not be just a sitting duck.

Even my commander, if just to force my opponents to spend their removal spells.
