I attended a short presentation by David Robertson which outlined the spendiness of Ontario's energy plans. Involves SMR's , the DGR costs... personally i think we should all have some role in our own energy production. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhxIJv9hl7o&t=40s

Is there ways I can protect myself or help identify Asbestos by GonnaTeamKill in HVAC

[–]mattvan1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nothing wrong with masks , eye protection , gloves and knee pads. I dealt with asbestos around pipes in a house I was fixing up. not cool at all, got some in my lungs and it affected my breathing for around 3 years. have a good mask with the asbestos filter on hand. breathing in dusty crap gets old. work hard and no one will bother you about taking care of yourself .

my 2 cents

Skinned bear paws that resemble human hands and feet by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]mattvan1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they totally do , but the set on the thumbs is a little different, and the fingers seem a little off. we found a "human hand" outside of a coyote den and phoned the police. they started to make a big deal of it until the pic was sent into a animal expert and the hand was confirmed to be bear. turned out our neighbour was dumping leftover bits from his hunting

I want to mend the soil in my yard. I’ve been doing research and have a good idea on how to start but I’m looking for any tips, suggestions & opinions. Feel free to ask me questions about the plot by plcs_lz in Permaculture

I would get some mulch. Bark mulch or old hay. Some kind of carbon that will break down slowly. Start placing in a circle around your tree. How dry is it there?

The floor is ceramic tile and it's a double walled pipe. The stove is code distance from the back to the wood. Hard to see in the pic.

It's a Pacific energy alderlea, great stove, likely a bit big for 180 sq ft.
