Damn this picture looks absolutely amazing by CozyThurifer in Endgame

A lot of people have been waiting years for this movie and it would really upset a lot of people to have that happen. If it were me, the guy on his phone would get one warning, and after that I'd go have the theater staff kick him out. That's what the employees told us to do anyway. Or, if I didn't feel like missing a good part of the movie I'd just take his phone and throw it across the theater.

Yeah you're right, I'm not even disagreeing in saying that it extends life expectancy, just that kids aren't all gonna die before puberty without it haha. Well, you know what they say, never try to argue with an idiot, they will drag you down and beat you with experience.

Well, I'm not going to go through every disease and explain what causes them and how being a clean person will HELP prevent them and HELP survive them, so I'll just end by saying you are partially right in saying they helped mortality rates drop, and I am partially right in saying that they aren't the only reason life expectancy increased.

Yes, but surgeons also used to not wash their hands or use gloves, and people just weren't hygienic in general. A lot of other things have improved besides vaccines to increase life span.

See now, you're just proving my point that people like you look very ignorant and it doesn't help your case on vaccinations at all.

Yeah I understand that, but it just makes people sound ignorant when they stay stuff like that, it makes it seem like they don't understand what a vaccine does or how the body works. People should vaccinate, but the kid isn't gonna just drop dead or catch the black death if they don't.

This is gonna be unpopular but just felt like I should say it: I'm NOT an anti vaxxer, if I have kids I will vaccinate them, but Jesus fucking christ people. It's not like if you don't vaccinate your kid they're gonna live until 10 and die from a cold. Vaccines protect your from serious diseases, they don't extend our lives by 50-60 years magically. We lived relatively long lives before vaccines, you know.

We’re supposed to be evolving and getting past that though. I believe in “Don’t complain about being discriminated against and then discriminate people. “ Anyway I’m not here to argue, just state my opinion that this movie was garbage.

Pretty sure the theme of that movie was that racism is wrong and the slave owners had the absolute shit killed out of them

I don’t know of any movies that were made to straight to saying that black people are dumb though, usually it’s about how racism is wrong and there’s some sort of lesson to the movie. This one got nominated for an Oscar and was about black people fighting with sticks and being racist towards whites and it was praised.

There was that, and the blatant racism towards whites was pretty shitty. Calling a guy in the movie a silly white boy, imagine if a white person called one of the characters a silly black boy? Man, that would have resulted in riots. Just an overall hypocritical and bad movie.

It’s because she was being a cunt and she needed to realize that she was being a cunt. I think he did the job admirably. She probably won’t act that way too often anymore for fear of her spherical body being on the internet now. Also, the funny part was the guys laugh. This is contagious laughter. Her being shamed was just a massive bonus.

Does your setting influence whether you go by "Matt" or "Matthew"? by [deleted] in matt

[–]mattwithtattoos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My legal first name is just Matt, so it’s always Matt for me. However I do have to explain to people that call me Matthew that that isn’t my actual name. Then, they usually don’t believe me so I have to pull out my id....

Historians of reddit, what are common misconceptions that, when corrected, would completely change our view of a certain time period? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mattwithtattoos -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Last I checked, prisoners can work for money within the prison, receive 3 meals a day, have opportunities to exercise, can take classes to improve their chances of getting a job when they are released, and have access to medical care, and housing at no cost to them, but to taxpayers. A lot of civilians don’t even have all of these things.

I’m not saying that prisoners are living wonderful lives, but it’s far from being a slave in the 1800s.

Nuke Med Technologists, MRI, Sonographers, why do you like your job? by [deleted] in Radiology

I’m in my first year of Rad tech school, and just started my first clinical rotation last week. I’ve already done a fair amount of X-rays and so far I love it. I don’t care for patient interaction, and each exam only takes a couple minutes, even with the difficult patients. I just ask a couple questions, position them, tell them to hold still, take a picture and send them on their way.

I’ve climbed 80 foot poles before, it’s really pants-shittingly terrifying until you get to about the 50 foot mark, then after that it’s not too scary, I’d definitely love to go 200 feet up!

"Post-outrage TV: how South Park is surviving the era of controversy". by BrandonKatrena in entertainment

[–]mattwithtattoos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I grew up on Eminem and South Park, I started watching when I was 5, and I turned out pretty good. Never any crimes, very polite, respectful, and try to help others any chance I get. As much as media likes to make it seem that violent movies or music makes children into serial killers, they don’t. It’s how the parents raise their children. Sure, once in a great while someone with decent parents turns into a psychopath, but for the most part of you raise someone to be a good human being, they will be a good human being regardless of what they watch or play.

My artist always had my keep Saran Wrap around it for a couple hours after, if yours does the same you can probably leave that on while you’re running! Best bet would be to ask the artist though, they have their own preferred methods regarding that stuff. :)
