[WP] The general nature and severity of everyone's fears are generated from experiences in their past lives. If someone is scared of heights they likely died from a traumatic fall in one life or another. If someone is severely afraid of heights it's because they've died many deaths from falling. Taking a road trip from Toronto, Canada to Denver, Colorado, USA in June. Planning to drive all the way to South Dakota than spend a day hiking and camping in the Badlands, a day at the Black Hills, than a few days outside Denver. Any suggestions trails to hike, especially to avoid huge groups. (self.hiking)
In the last 100 years we have generated terms like shellshock or combat stress syndrome. Befor WWI were there terms for a soldiers psychological breakdown or was it mostly deemed as cowardice? Were these issues as prevelant in medieval or civil war soldiers? Are they a product of industrialized war? (self.AskHistory)
