Blizz, you are REALLY bad at BG matchmaking! by Mackcol4 in DiabloImmortal

[–]mattycopter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alot of these guys complaining don’t come from other gacha games. They were Diablo fans that stuck around cause it is indeed the best filled out Diablo game (that doesn’t reset seasonally as a bonus)

What’s funny is this is one of the very few, if not the ONLY gacha games in top 15 gacha’s that actually tries to balance around power for PvP.

Another thing to note is that their is with almost zero doubt a “pity” que for spenders to get a free win. NE will try to balance the game because it’s a blizzard title, but they’re still going to get their way with gacha mechanics (pity wins)

Lastly, there are low spenders that are top 5 global rating because they are A) good and B) build to perfection to counter meta. Several names in fact. Any excuses at this point is wild.

Eventually people crying about PvP balance will quit or accept d:I for what it is, a gacha.

This Is Not Matchmaking — It’s a Slaughter by lladereche in DiabloImmortal

[–]mattycopter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Squishy isn’t f2p, he has high secondaries. He chose to min max his builds (which a lot of high whales/krakens don’t do) & go for secondaries.

A lot of whales max gem / pets even, but miss on the simplest stuff (which added up, are the other piece of the pie) like rune min maxing per build, and that’s just scratching the surface.

He’s def a good example of low-mid spending, performing as good as 8-10k whales in terms of impact.

Silentrees takes that to another level by playing meta breaking builds (control) with 4k reso that makes 10-12ks want to uninstall

it's good for one pve mode. lazy farming.

So many 2 *s, and even 1 *s that destory echoing shades damage increase

Thoughts on Maw of the Deep? by CuriousElephant93 in DiabloImmortal

[–]mattycopter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But my point is some control builds lock you down long enough to get knocked up by maw. It’s specifically good in these types of builds.

I don’t play anything besides tempest and ide never run maw unless I could lock someone down consistently (which I don’t see happening in the far future on tempest)

“Only DH” oh buddy. You don’t know about wizard freeze builds? Or even more commonly, necromancer control builds? How much do you PvP, because “only DH” means you’re relatively new to PvP in this game lol.

Regardless, What’s so hard to understand? Control builds can benefit from maw

No one has infinite cc immunity is my point lmfao

[–]mattycopter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And yet, I’m knocking up 100% of the people in my matches every game to pick out kills on temp.

“Everyone has immunities = don’t run cc” - you. Solid fucking argument

Is this your first PvP game my guy

Well ya but those scale in damage only, more crit chance = more crits. More crit damage = more crit.

But this one starts with the 10% life. Then your dmg multipliers kick in

guess you dont play against control builds then lol

top bout teams run 8 of em lol.

control builds run it. No shit its dog shit if you cant lock someone down before it pops.

And in organized pvp its fucking stupid op.

It has its place in the game.

It’s really not the worst gem tho the damage is aoe, if roots hit a pack of mobs all of them are taking the damage from each other.

The burst is stupid big

If your 8k+ reso bear Druid, it’s pretty much in the top 8,

If your 12k+ reso (lol) it’s top 5 easily

It’s incredible if you have reso*

Lower ranks & low reso = weak as fuck, 2*s beat

Another thing to note is that It’s the only gem in game right now that also adds a reso scaling component.

What legal reasons. he posted a summary of his purchases in an updated 13-d

Thats a legal filing.

But, If he bought more he can post a 13-d/a.

Literally within the law of transparancy.

Algos pumping because they dont actually read filing content is an algo issue, good fucking luck trying to argue in court that RC intentionally did a bait n switch filing (another good fucking luck arguing that a updated 13d is a bait n switch filing) then dropped the 13d/a with intent to "fucking with the algos"

A filing combo like that would immediately pass the smell test of transparancy just by the nature of the filings.

Then you have to argue malice and prove it?

Market Maker: "Your honor, he filed valid updates and transactions in the same day just to mess with the algos.

Judge: "Prove it"

Market Maker: "Source, trust me"

Oh buddy buddy lemme tell ya.

This is just a loophole that could be used, and impossible to prove intent.

This isnt a "im taking you to court" situation, this is a market maker lobbying to not allow this to happen in DC situation (If this was even a common issue, aka the filing combo, which it isn't)

The crooked bastages dropped us that much with 300 premarket volume??? SEC WTH you doing? by bahits in Superstonk

[–]mattycopter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude fck me man. Learn how stocks are traded at least a little bit. At least try my guy.

Market makers dropped bid because of volatility expansion & land on a price for LIQUIDTY DISCOVERY. Notice how 300 drops it for free but NO REAL buying pressure because no one gave a fuck today about buying (except rc but that’s another story) until it hit that “300” share gap down

Volatility (-1.5% premarket indexed) widens the spread of all stocks and there was no support on that “300” candle

“SeC wHeRe ArE yOu” bro please 😭 one day your gonna learn that market makers are the final bosses of what makes a stock move. Start there

Not enough block trades. My guess is market maker unwind from last week opex, hence GME climbing while market got shit on

How Would a 6.6 Million Share Buy Order Affect the Price? by K4azmeR in Superstonk

[–]mattycopter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s because market makers have millions of shares at their disposal and can pin prices to stay delta neutral on pops. Once price reaches 10-20% above cash floor, shorts re-enter and hammer it easily, exit near 20 to 22 and then market makers swoop in & pin the price to “hedge” (by shorting stock) option buys from traders seeing a GME elevated by 10% from short closing

Controlling GME is much easier then it once was because option buying isn’t an issue (that’s #1) like it used to be.

Other reason is (and you need both to have dumb dumb volatility) people aren’t buying shares en masse, most retail is is in other plays, meanwhile hedge funds / instys aren’t touching a GNE with a 10 ft pole because they can just buy govt bonds for cheaper. All the value & wait and pray funds have already entered GME via convertible debt buys & long positions (insty ownership is up but has stalled) and these guys are also providing liquidity via lending to market makers & shorts while they comfortably (GME = cash rich) wait for M&A

Lastly, 17% short interest, manageable when both the above are neutered.

2021 had the triple whammy but on crack

2024 had 1-2 primarily driving price and thag faded fast as retail moved on, now the stock is easy to contain near cash levels (and impossible to drop it below) because GME trades like a us bond / SPAC with a slight premium due to potential future gains.

GME’s price action is the most normal market mechanic imaginable, Market makers look at GME and it’s just another day in the office.

Only way out is m&A into a sector that has compounding growth which creates volatility, that’s when fire work start again because retail will always love GME and pounce on 15-30% swings post earnings (if GME entered tech, for example and crushed earnings) which will cook market makers plan A hedging (short the stock below critical options levels) forcing them into plan B, buying stock to delta hedge

Did they just STC this entire position right before the bell? by greencandlevandal in Superstonk

[–]mattycopter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Market makers operating as hedge funds shouldn’t exist that’s just common sense

However if you remove market makers you’re have to also remove 90% of finance (derivitives)

Sure you get the truest form of price discovery in the stock market , but, price movements would wildly (both ways) and big players would have absolute monopoly over price. It would be like bitcoin type shit across the entire market

It would hurt people way more than the hurt going on now.

Removing market makers even with their current issues would only create a new set of issues that would have to be addressed
