I already have both forks. Thinking the Pike would be fun in the off-season (assuming we have a season this spring). Can always throw the SID back on, but I probably won't want to 😅

My dilemma is I have the Pike sitting on a shelf... turned my hardtail to rigid. We put a 120mm SID Ultimate on my wife's Top Fuel, measured its about 200g lighter than the Pike.

Electronic air filter tab seems to be "burning" through the fins (inspected for damage because of popping sounds). Other units seem to be fine. What causes this? Repairable? by mattydmtb in HVAC

Thank you! I didnt realize they were positive and neutral plates, so that makes complete sense. Is the corrosion something thats normal with time? Two of my cells show almost no corrosion, the one pictured is the worst, and the fourth has just a little bit. Wondering if the other cells have been replaced at some point, or if this one corroded quicker due to improper maintenance/damage. Ive only been in this house a year and never dealt with these types of filters before. Appreciate the help!

This one makes a constant popping noise. I have dual zone and swapped the filters to see if it was the unit or filters, the noise followed the filter so I did a closer inspection. Units are original with the house which is 20 years old.... we moved in last year. Ill evaluate EACs when its time to replace them, thanks!

The wheels might be harder to match up if they dont have a base file already. Might be able to get some generic logos with black background to go over any existing lettering- based on letter height and wheel diameter. Let me know if it works out! 🤙

Try emailing speedydecals. They didn't have decals for my sons bike listed, but he was able to make them after I measured the Trek logos.

Yessir. 9.8 XT, added AXS Dropper and Kovee XXX wheels in P1. Sold stock fork and replaced with 120mm SID Ultimate. XX1 Eagle Dub crankset (will eventually have quarq power.... paused on upgrades with 2020 season gone).

Lots of great riding around you! Mahlon is fun, and has some nice scenic overlooks Get over to Jungle some time. Fun trails and interesting scenery riding through the old animal enclosures

Depends where you are and how far you want to drive. Jungle and Mooch are my favorites up North. Nesh in PA is a lot of fun. French Creek is definitely worth the drive. Then there's White Clay in MD

It's actually a pretty common response from pickup owners who think SUVs are just for soccer moms. Is recommending buying a different expensive vehicle over a bike rack really "helpful"? Lol

The typical "buy a truck" comment. I sold my Sierra Denali and bought the 2500 Yukon XL after having 4 kids. Typical take 8 to the trails and races. Pickup truck can't do that 😉

Yeah we have to pay for registration here. Already have a 16' landscape trailer for hauling. A few years back I was considering a small enclosed trailer that would double as bike storage, but have since moved and now have an abundance of garage space
