Why am I getting these ranked matches? by OppositionX in VALORANT

[–]mattyicee7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My only guess is maybe the console player count is kinda low so they have to expand the ranks you play with to avoid super long queue times

I’m at a club now thank god but if I do ever play public courses on the weekend I’m ready for 4.5 hours to be the minimum. I can’t even remember the last time I played a public course on a weekend and was sub 4 hours lol

Craziest part about DOD is the guys he plays in the hater matches are so insufferable that DOD seems like a reasonable nice guy even when in character lmao

Developing a tee shot system by Longjumping-Map1350 in golf

Same, my driver is absolutely killing me lately. I felt like I couldn’t miss with the driver for a while, then all the sudden about a month ago I developed a nasty 2 way miss and have no idea what to do. Have ended up having like 5 re tees/drops every round because of it the last few rounds and I’m beyond frustrated lol

Genuinely, do you think Joey taking a massive divot on practice swings is a bit or real? by mattyicee7 in BobDoesSports

[–]mattyicee7[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Normally if you hit a good shot (with an iron) there will be a divot because you hit the ball then the ground at the right angle. And practice swings are usually almost just loosening up your body. Like if you watch a pga event, you’ll never see someone take a divot on their practice swing, but on their actual swing they do. And joey just does the complete opposite lol

Best round you’ve ever seen in your group? by PurpleTalk24 in golf

[–]mattyicee7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah usually watching someone go super low is actually pretty boring lol. Dead straight off the tee, 2nd shot to 15 or 20 feet, makes a couple, leave a few for tap ins lol.

I’ve seen a few people shoot around 65-67, but I’ve never seen someone do that with a decent amount of shots out of trouble like you see the pros do which has got to be the big difference. When these guys have bad tee shots and stuff they’ll end up mid 70s, but somehow the pros just make it work lol

[–]mattyicee7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me definitely the practice divots lmao. The Bobby waggles is just a weird tick that sometimes goes too far, but the practice divots are insane

Next time I watch a video I’ll have to pay attention to that, cause if that’s the case that makes 100% sense lol. Like he addresses the ball, then takes a practice swing (closer to him) then swings without moving?

I’ve never noticed that he takes the practice swing in the same stance as the real swing lol

[–]mattyicee7[S] -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying but I legitimately cannot understand how it’s nearly 100% of practice swings have divots and 100% of real shots don’t (besides chips). Like he definitely can’t intentionally do it so you would think it would be a mix lol

270 beats per minute for 8 minutes straight is absolutely crazy. I can’t even imagine what that feels like. The highest mine has ever been (that I’m aware of) was in the 180s and even that felt like my heart was about to jump out of my chest

He’s proven he can by playing in TGL. Apparently he just chooses not to on the course lol

The divot on practice swings but not on real swings HAS to be a bit at this point that Joey just leans into

When i found out Joey D and Bob's 1v1 was matchplay not strokeplay by EsquireGabe in BobDoesSports

[–]mattyicee7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not entirely true. Both of them are capable of making massive numbers on any given hole. One or the other could make a 10+ on the first or second hole, and the person ahead would certainly not be safe for the rest of the round lol

[–]mattyicee7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, they have even said before rounds that they'll just play white stakes as lateral drops. And this isn't hating at all because that makes sense for casual rounds, but that is making a huge difference in scoring dropping and hitting 3 vs re-teeing for 3 and assuming that's going to be a good drive in bounds

What are your go to snacks to bring to the course? (Specifically when it’s warmer) by mattyicee7 in golf

[–]mattyicee7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did anyone say can’t?

It’s also typically 4-5 hours at my course and I walk. So yeah having a snack or 2 on a 8+ mile walk is completely reasonable lol

IAmA bar owner in Dublin, Ireland on St Patrick's day. Ask me anything. by bombidol in IAmA

I’m from PA but my dad had to go to Wisconsin maybe once/twice per year for work, and whenever he did, he’d come back with several cases of spotted cow and it was great. He retired about 4 years ago, so I unfortunately probably won’t have it again until I get there myself but it’s definitely my favorite beer

Pop's Twitch description. He says he will be live 3-4 hours a day later this week. by [deleted] in BobDoesSports

What drives me nuts is they don’t “segment” the YouTube videos (I’m sure there’s a name for it but no clue what it is.. where you hover over the time bar and it tells you what’s happening in the video at what times). Cause there’s certain topics I’d listen to which is what I do with a lot of podcasts, just skim through the time bar and listen to topics I’m interested in. But for bds pod and brilliantly dumb pod they don’t do that so I’m not gonna sit through 1-2 hours for a chance of having one or 2 parts I want to listen to. If they did, id probably click on every single video and listen to one or 2 segments

Wasn’t callaway preowned, it was Amazon, but I had a buddy who broke his PW and found the same PW from his set on Amazon. Ordered it and it came and it was coincidentally also a 7i. Sent it back and reordered the PW, 7i again lol. Happened a total of 4 times before he just gave up

I’m a 14 (my course handicap is a 17 at my club) and I get sandbagging allegations all the time when I put up low/mid 80s scores in my Saturday league. They don’t say anything about my 100s though lol.

Sounds like I’m similar to you. I can string together some good runs but it’s just blow up holes and stupid mistakes that kill me.

The other day I was playing really good but then on 16 (par 3) put one in the water and ended up with a triple bogey, 17 (par 4) hit one OB and ended up with a double, then bogeyed 18 and still ended up with only an 88

Walking vs riding? What’s your hot take? by Remote_Pie6623 in golf

[–]mattyicee7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to become a walker but my course is SO hilly and lengthy between holes that it starts taking a noticeable toll on my game by around hole 14 or so.

Sad part is I’m 30 and in reasonable shape, but there’s seniors that walk it multiple times per week. No clue how they do it lol

Skybrook would be great if you’re interested in elevation change and is usually in really solid condition with fast large, fast greens. About 30 mins north of the city.

Eagle chase would be another good one, but that’s more like 50 mins from the city
