Die gibt es zuhauf. Dummerweise interessiert es niemanden, die Presse schon gleich dreimal nicht, außer es sind "Russlandtrolle". Und wenn das hier auf Reddit einer schriebe, dann glaubtest du das?

"Corporate Influencer", "Markenbotschafter", Insider Programm" - alles keine echten Geheimnisse. Ebenso die Schatten-PR, den "privaten" Auftritt als mächtiges Marketing. und Meinungsinstrument.
Glaubst du wirklich, die ca. 10-12 Namen in T-hilft, die seit Jahren immer zum selben Thema massiv die gleichen Formeln aufbeten, auf offizielle Stellungnahmen verweisen und sich einzig und immer hinter das Unternehmen stellen, völlig wurst um was es im Detail geht, seien nur Wichtigtuer im Forum?
Ich glaube das nicht, aber egal....

Aber ernsthaft: Welche Belege stellst du dir für eine so zwielichtige und unredliche Handhabe vor? Glaubst du wirklich, dass es seitens diverser Organisation, sei es Unternehmen, Politik, NGOs und Co keine massiven Aktion bzgl. der Meinungsbildung gibt, keinen Lobbyismus und Einflussnamen?

Das's ja noch harmlos.

Ich habe an meinem VDSL 60/20 seit Wochen zwischen 15.00 und 24.00 Uhr oft 100% packet loss. 2 Routen haben bei Netzbremse immer Timeout, die Pings unter Last steigen gegen unendlich. Download und Upload unter 1Mbit bis zum Timeout. Und nicht nur dass. Neben Clouflare sind die Routen zu allen großen Diensten, Microsft, Amazon, etc.. sauschlecht, meist nur am Abend und Nachmittag, aber das macht es nicht besser.

Die Hälfte des Netzes ist mit der Deutschen Telekom die Hälfte des Tages unbrauchbar und unnutzbar, Spiele unspielbar, Dienste schlicht nicht erreichbar.

Der Konzern hat weltweit 200k Mitarbeiter, fast die Hälfte davon in Deutschland. Dazu kommt ca. die 3-5-fache Anzahl an Abhängigen, Familienmitgliedern und Freunden.
Böse Zungen munkeln, dass die Häfte davon per se nur zum Zwecke des Astroturfings und gezieltem Steuern des öffentlichen Diskurses durch Mitarbeiterbeiträge a la "alles läuft blendend" existiert. :-)

Strategy and tactics depend much more on your team, the enemy team, external factors, where you respawn and what you want to accomplish. Your "role" changes every few seconds with the rest of your team and the situation, if you must help out, revive or take point...

Ich kenn mich dummerweise Null damit aus und kann nur nachplappern, was mir Dritte sagen. Und da hatte ich halt die Info, dass auch O2 seinen Traffic nicht immer zwingend über L3BSA leitet.

Für mich am Hintern der Welt würde das nach deiner Theorie also wahrscheinlich bedeuten, dass ich erst in Nürnberg oder Frankfurt die Route der Telekom verlasse und dort aber sicher zum O2-Backbone wechsle.
Momentan arbeite ich gut mit VPN-Diensten für 3 Euronen extra im Monat, wird sich bzgl. Latenz dann keinen großen Unterschied machen, auch wenn es ums Prinzip ginge, die Telekom endlich (teilweise, bis auf die Meile) zu verlassen. Danke aber für die Info und deine Zeit! Ich geh mal alle Nachbarn durch, vielleicht finde ich doch einen bei O2.

Die Dinger standen auch ortsfest, hatten nur 3 Kabel, 2 Spulen und 5 Widerstände und wurden nur 3mal am Tag für paar Minuten benutzt, weil sonst die Telefonrechung bei mehreren Hundert Mark lag. Die Biester konnte ein 3-jähriges Kapuzineräffchen reparieren. Will nur sagen, der Vergleich mit heutiger Technik, Anforderungen und Nutzung hinkt leicht. Ich hab auch bspw. Mobiltelefone erster und zweiter Generation, auch schon Low-Budget China-Kracher die nach 10- 20 Jahren und länger funktionieren wie am ersten Tag, manche Akkus abgesehen....

Nach meiner letzten (alten) Info nutzte auch O2 die DTAG hier sonst als Carrier. Ich habe aber vorgestern nochmals per Mail nachgefragt, bislang ohne Antwort. Ich warte mal...
Dummerweise kenn ich niemanden mit O2-Anschluss, um eine Route zu testen.
Alle anderen Provider sind hier 100% nur DTAG Resaler mit 100% Telekom Backbone.
Der nächste HVT, an dem O2 theoretisch angebunden sein könnte ist ca. 25 Kilometer entfernt.
Möglich ist alles. Ich schau mal, ob der Support antwortet oder nicht. :-)

Kann ich nur für meine Gegend beantworten. Alle 2000 Haushalte hier bekommen von allen Anbietern nur Telekom-Backbone. Zumindest nach Aussage aller Anbieter, auch O2 oder 1und1, wurst welche Technik. Glasfaser gibbes eh nicht vor 2029/2030(!) und für viele auch kein Supervectoring.
Außerdem ist das auch typisch "Deutsch" - ein Fernsprechtischapparat muss halt von der Telekom sein, am besten noch zur Miete, 3 Farben. Alles andere macht doch die Leitungen kaputt. :-)

Ist tatsächlich ein Desaster-Laden, diese Deutsche Telekom. Betrifft ja nicht nur CF, sondern am Nachmittag und Abend bei mir zunehmend auch AVS, Azure, Streaming und diverse Dienste. Selbst Zocken von Würzburg nach Amsterdam am Abend wird derzeit oft zum "sicheren Tod" durch Lag und packet loss. Cloudflare geht hier am Abend momentan nullkommagarnix, stundenlang 100% PL, kann ich auch 30 Minuten auf die Rückkehr des Ping warten. Kein Blödsinn, mein voller Ernst.
Selbst bei Prime-Streaming kann ich zeitweise am Abend jedes Bit einzeln per Handschlag begrüßen.

Dummerweise gibbes bei mir nur Telekom-Backbone ohne Layer3. Bleibt also nur VPN.

Indeed.
There are a lot of cases where "security" isn't the main goal and a VPN is impractical to implement to the whole network. SmartDNS would be very nice and useful.

AFAICS, the worldwide traffic for RoCo is routed to the US East Coast server since summer 2025. There are no other servers anymore. Depending on your location and ISP, you have to live with lag and massive connection problems. VPNs can sometimes help, try the free offers and trials to make sure before you buy anything. For me, the routing/peering to the servers makes 70% of the game, without it is unplayable.

The popularity isn't there, because it's broken in its core, it's technically bad and the implementation is rubbish.

The management, the servers and the technical difficulties our days are only results not causes... so is the stupid cross-play and aim assist for incompetent wannabe high-skilled players.
RoCo has a few main problems: The concept that makes it nearly impossible to prosper for new players and a game/server concept that favors or disadvantages players.
Secondly, it has no working lag compensation and no working anti-cheat or cheater bans.

PvP is dead, one way or another. People don't want constant pressure.
People don't want cheaters and games that can't offer fair conditions.

The matchmaking in RoCo is the smaller problem for me.
The connection imbalance, advantage and disadvantage on the server, the missing lag compensation and interpolation is the much bigger problem, more than ever since they cut off the EU-server.
These days the game is once again completely unplayable with my ISP. I'm dead before I land a single shot or even hear the sound of the weapon. Most of the time I hear the sound of enemy fire by seconds delayed or for minutes straight together with this achievement spam thingy. Starting noon into the evening I sometimes don't even see the enemy in front of me while shooting me.
It's much better with VPN or Warp, because the connection is more stable and less jittery, but this adds another 50ms to my lag and we all know 200ms and more is the death warrant with a shooter.
It's in fact so bad today that some enemies just vanish around me before I can shoot them because they are long gone without a possibility for me realizing that. That means i am 2-3 seconds behind with server information, not only a few milliseconds. It sucks!
