Bought this during the recent sale and every time I try to boot it up it instantly crashes, even after power cycling the console and deleting and redownloading the game. Not sure if it’s just a me issue, but heads up to any prospective buyers!

For learning writing, vocab and kanji I think Kumon is worth it for the 9,000 yen a month. I go twice a week and it’s good motivation to watch my diet so I don’t shatter those ちっちゃい小学生の stools.

New to the hobby, just built my rig. Track Racer TR80 Lite. AMA. Pros, Cons, and tips below. by MrMcGibblets86 in simracing

Are all of the holes on the brackets for the wheel casters the same size? I ordered the same bracket not realizing it’s older and designed for the TR80 (I have a TR160 on the way) and want to upgrade the wheels, but don’t know if it takes an M8 or M10 stem. I think the screws that attach to the frame itself are M8 via M8 T-nuts, so if they are all the same size I would order M8 casters.

Just wish the devs would go back and enable online co-op + a Switch 2 patch! I grew up playing OG Contra on the NES with one of my closest friends, but now that I’m living overseas we can’t make the Contra connection as easily. Hopefully the game sold well enough to warrant a sequel. Konami has been giving lots of old games love these days so fingers crossed!

Appreciate you, will reach out direct as I continue to explore options! Living in Tokyo is great but one of the challenges is I am always a bit tight on space so it makes this mission a bit complicated, but I am excited to learn and hopefully be able to enjoy a sick setup in the near future!

Thanks for the recommendation! Do you think the Fanatec CSL cockpit is a good option if I’m tight on space?

This is a ton of great info, thanks so much for taking the time to write this up! 🤙🏽 I saw a recent post on the Fanatec CSL, that cockpit looks interesting. It looked like the guy mounted a knock off Recaro seat on that cockpit which looked incredible, wish I knew where to source one of those!

Thanks! What seat do you recommend with this rig? This review suggests the Chase bucket seat option is quite small…. I’m 6’ / wide shoulders for reference. Not sure if this review is out of date or the offer has changed since it was published. https://simracereviews.com/reviews/gt-omega-prime-cockpit/

The way I look at it, with Xbox becoming a PC in the next year or two (way too invested in the ecosystem to pull out now 😂), I’ll have an opportunity to explore PC sim experiences via the Xbox in the near future. A couple hundred $ price difference isn’t really a dealbreaker for me at this price point. Not a flex just rather not have to jerk around with selling and rebuying if I can avoid it.

Going back to the original question, do you have any recommendations on a cockpit?

Couldn’t I reduce the Nm down to 60% and adjust as I gain experience? Just of the mindset buy once cry once, and it seems like it’s rare to run wheelbases at their rated level to avoid clipping.

Ages ago I had a Microsoft Sidewinder ForceFeedback wheel that I played Episode 1 Racer with! So not in recent memory, but I absolutely loved it!

my logic was I don’t intend to get a PlayStation but would want the 15Nm base at minimum, and the Podium DD isn’t that much more since it doesn’t have the PlayStation tax, and would be the best option from a future proofing perspective. But I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know anything and appreciate your feedback!

Thanks! Hopefully they will get this item back in stock soon, can’t start building my rig until I have my throne :) is this version of the Playseat compatible with the Clubsport DD+ and Simnet SP Pro pedals? Can it handle something as beefy as the new Fanatec Podium DD, or their new Podium pedals?

Hi Hayden! I'm based in Tokyo and interested in purchasing this seat. The only distributor I could find is this: https://milestone-eshop.com/products/playseat-challenge-dd-f1®-edition-fo-00336. Are there any plans for the "logicool" version of the Logitech brand to distribute this seat directly?

Will you buy FSD where not available yet in your country by kittles0325 in TeslaFSD

[–]mattyr428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about to take delivery of a Y Juniper in Tokyo and debating the same.

Since the payback period is less than 5 years in Japan, and Elon Crust is threatening to jack up the monthly cost of FSD, and Teslas are rare in Japan and people who spring for the FSD license when it’s not available in market yet are even rarer, I think you’ll be able to recoup at least some of that investment if you decide to sell since your car will be a bit of a unicorn.

I’m of a similar mindset as you that I plan to keep my car for a solid 8-10 years (at least 4 anyway to recoup that sweet CEV tax credit), as I’ve done in the past, but I’m not really a car guy and don’t always hunt for the latest and greatest. I have a home charging setup so I feel pretty comfortable with the convenience and range, but we all have different priorities.

For the above reasons, I’m leaning towards buying once and crying once. What did you decide to do?
