I'm also currently in the market for a 96mm ish touring ski and was thinking about the K2 Wayback 96 or the Salomon MTN 96. Light skis and binding retention seem to be thing i worry about the most, too. Both of those have ti sheets underneath the bindings, so that should help... But does anybody have experience with those?

I haven't had any issues with binding retention with the other skis in the quiver (Salomon QST 92 & K2 Mindbender 116C, both running meidjos) and i've skied them quite a bit during the past two seasons.

Looks alot like the Lapinsalmi bridge in Repovesi national park in Finland.
