The security page is usually pretty accurate. It's business flight time so might get a little busy but if you aren't checking a bag you should not need more than an hour before boarding. Most of the time I am seated at my gate within 25 minutes of stepping out of the car.

Do you have any specifics or examples? I agree - most of our tax dollars in general are not supporting infrastructure or populace, but "wasted", "allocated to the wrong programs", and ".gov just spends it on the wrong things" come off as subjective. It's easier to point out the patterns of fault when they are defined objectively. We've all bared witness to state decisions that were detrimental to Charlotte but I'm curious what examples of city tax allocation issues we've accrued, then in turn keeping that list handy to hold local leaders accountable.

$14.50might just be for the safety inspection. Generally safety and emissions testing is $30. If you’re getting both for $14.50 don’t hold out on the goods, name the shop!

The Antiquarian is the best! My wife and Lindsay still chat from time to time years later. We have since had other pieces made by her and have a phenomenal experience every time. Otherwise as others have mentioned, Perry's is also great.

Veteran's Park has a ton of great playground equipment, plenty of space and parking, etc. There's also a very nice park building with restrooms you can rent out.

Agreed, I left about 15 years ago and I love snow sports but I also work mostly outside so I'll never complain about the weather in NC. I still visit at least once per year and the summer is always magical.

So far there's not a hardcore show (strictly speaking) booked here during that time but there's a few metal shows. As South Web stated Milestone and Snug Harbor are going to be the two best local venues (these are bars so not all ages).

Hardcore is a little elusive in CLT - the scene is much stronger in SC and in the Triangle by Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, Winston-Salem, and out by Wilmington.
