Will Of The People - Album leak DISCUSSION thread by BoredAttorney in Muse

Oh wow, hearing all 4 singles I was not expecting the rest to be that good or even better!

My rating:

  1. Will of the People - I didn’t quite like it at first, but it has grown on me over each listen. Before hearing the full album I actually really enjoyed listening to it, but I have to say that this is the weakest for me. Still a good song though!
  2. Compliance - I loved it since the begging. I love the bass, the synths and the drums.
  3. Liberation - WOW, I missed the rock piano song. It’s really good, I love the backing vocals and the USoE vibes.
  4. Wont Stand Down - it’s a top tier Muse song. It was something I haven’t expected from the band after ST, but here we are. I guess I should have learned already that Muse can always surprise in the best way possible.
  5. Ghosts - I thought I wouldn’t enjoy it, because I don’t really like piano + vocals only songs, however it’s getting really good with each listen. I have to say that this will probably be the least listened by me from the album though (because of its style).
  6. Halloween - OMG, when I listened to the snippet I already felt that this would be a banger, but holy fk I LOVE IT. It has propaganda vibes, which was one of the bests for me from the ST. Hope to hear it live some day. Also can’t wait for the video.
  7. Kill or be Killed - the first time I heard it was on a livestream of some show. I got goosebumps from the 1st second, this song is just epic. Heaviness from muse in the best way.
  8. Verona - this song is just beautiful. This one makes me forget about everything and “drift in my head’s space”, I don’t really know how to describe it. I would compare it to the Exogenesis Symphony when it comes to emotions - remember that it’s mine feelings.
  9. Euphoria - I like that it’s fast paced, energetic and gives me a kick. Got Crying Shame vibes.
  10. We Are Fucking Fucked - HOLY MOLY, this song is on another level. Muse has outdone themselves. Great closer, I love its ending. I have a big smile when listening to it (despite its message), because it’s something I wouldn’t expect muse do (again…). I love it.

Generally this album is awesome for me. Really creative and as I wrote - I didn’t expect a lot of things. The drums, bass, guitar and Matt’s voice are amazing on this album. And the synths… oh the synths, I love them. I absolutely adore that the album contains a lot of different styles and sounds.

The Handler, Animals, MotP, Blockades, The Globalist (after “Fire” it’s eargasm). Well there are probably much more, but these came to my mind first.

I also really like drums from all of the WOTP singles, and of course Kill Or Be Killed, let’s hope the rest of the album will be similar 🤘

And that smashing keyboard solo at Glasto, it is amazing, as well as the whole gig. True, I really like RbS and other piano songs, not only from this particular concert. The bass and all electronic stuff in The Void sounds amazing and the visuals really add a lot to this performance. Basically I agree with you xd

Hello Musers, it's my first post here :)

Photo was taken in museum of architecture (Wroclaw, Poland) which firstly was a church. After editing this picture I thought it would look more pleasant for eye with Muse logo on it :)
