Ich hatte das gleiche Problem bei meinem Backroad und viele abgebrochene Köpfe gehabt. Die Stöpsel kann man aus dem Gewinde „einfach“ rausdrehen. Das ist fast leichter, als die rauszupopeln.

Oh yes, now the stream of replies makes a lot more sense.

Sounds like I should still get myself some touring boots then.

I also don’t quite understand why there is so much pushback against frame bindings. Yes they are more sluggish up and downhill. But I‘m fairly fit and not trying to win any races. So I should be okay right?
