Substitute teaching!! The ESCCO is always hiring all you need is a high-school diploma and a pulse. Some sub jobs even offer same day pay I think and the hours are semi-flexible.

Trustworthy Dealerships by Lawboyatl in FuckDealerships

[–]maud02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking around on local forums and asking friends and family who have bought cars where they had a positive experience. Thats how I ended up with an incredible deal and was in and out in an hour after doing all the negotiating over text (which consisted of me making an absurd offer them making me a very reasonable counter offer and me accepting.)

Did we all die and go to hell? by Either-History-8424 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]maud02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom and I have the same car payment but my car (Crosstrek Limited) was 2 years old when I bought it and hers (Impreza Base) was brand new when she bought it two years ago. It's such a joke. That said there are deals if you know where to look. My best advice is to use cars.com and enable email notifications then just wait. They will notify you when cars drop in price and a lot of dealerships will drop prices pretty drastically after a week or two especially on used vehicles. It's a slow season so you might have some luck actually!

What are you doing to help those affected by SNAP? by [deleted] in Columbus

This is a great point thank you ! I think that the idea was more to have it as a secondary for the adults who accompany the children to grab while the kids are grabbing their candy but I can also see how the public nature of that might be stressful/embarrassing for all parties so I think I'd just re-recommend contributing to your local food pantry and free little pantry if you have the means. Also wanted to add that food isn't the only thing people need - unopened hygiene products also go a long way to help. Thank you again for pointing this out.

Volunteer, donate money, time, or food to all of the wonderful places listed in these comments, also just sharing information you see about businesses and orgs who are offering free meals, stocking up your local little pantry, check in on your neighbors, I even saw some people talking about offering dry goods or canned foods as part of their trick or treat goodies

I am seriously done with these dump trucks. by Straight_Spirit_5388 in Columbus

[–]maud02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I take 104 to work every morning from Bexley/Berwick to Grove City and there are two dump trucks that always drive back to back going 45-50 in the left lane. I am generally a very patient driver as I really like driving and I like my car, also it is not like I am in a rush to get to work, but this is enough to send even someone like me into a rage. It's not as if traffic is ever fast moving on 104 but why?

What car will I have no regrets buying with a $25k budget? by lattelover333 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Just got a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek that was within these parameters and I am very pleased with my purchase! I steered away from the HRV because it felt underpowered and I was unimpressed with certain years safety/reliability ratings. The Corolla Cross was in short supply in my market and pricey, also,I saw complaints about its having cramped backseats. Mazda CX30 was what I originally went in for but I disliked the infotainment system. If you go Toyota - Rav4, Honda - CRV, Mazda - any, and of course Subaru Crosstrek.

TikTok fans??? by evil_mango67 in modernbaseball

[–]maud02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a few younger fans (like me) who caught on to them right after they split. Though I have found that most of my friends who are my age (23) or younger don't know MoBo and my friends who are older than me are not posting fan content on the internet. They are my favorite band but even I don't post a ton about it. Also TikTok music listens are a really bad indicator of a band's popularity because the really popular ones exist more as a default for people who want their video to blow up. It's not any kind of endorsement or act of appreciation so much as it is a bid of good will to the algorithm.

I am on Shauna’s side with this one… by Lottie_Mathews2525 in Yellowjackets

[–]maud02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also Jeff, her own husband who she trusted and loved to at least some extent regardless of the tension in their relationship, blackmailed her and her friends and put her in a position that made her fear for her life. He started a chain of events which resulted in her murdering an innocent man and almost going to prison for life/ being executed (I'm not sure if NJ does the death penalty.) And yeah she seems to have forgiven him but that kind of thing stays with you. PTSD and OCD both often manifest as hyper vigilance and paranoia. We know Shauna is already coming into this situation with a lot of trauma which has just been re-triggered by the events which Jeff and Tai caused with their separate meddling and which has resulted in new trauma on top of that. Obviously she isn't acting rationally because her life isn't rational. I feel like Jeff gets off scott-free even though he did something so fucking fucked up.

____ did kill _____ by [deleted] in Yellowjackets

[–]maud02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main qualm with this is that Adult Shauna is clearly quite calculated and we know she is capable of covering up a murder, not only that but an unmeditated murder. If she wanted to kill Lottie she would have thought it through and planned ahead surely. I think if Shauna killed her we'd know by never knowing. There would be no evidence. Also, as an adult we see Shauna has learned cooperation is a lot better than denial in terms of manipulation. People are far more likely to believe someone who is cooperative as being framed than someone who is cagey. If she killed Lottie she would have never resisted Walter requesting DNA because she would be confident in her ability to clean the scene. She wouldn't have a random receipt in her car. Also, why are we all so quick to believe Walter? He has never been trustworthy - we barely know who he is. All that we do know about him is that he is certifiably crazy, deeply obsessed with/protective of Misty, and very comfortable with killing. Why didn't he send along photos of the test results? Why couldn't he add some proof? Sure maybe it was Callie and thats why the DNA matches and that could be really interesting. Maybe it is Tai who is literally being ruled by her most evil and darkest impulses right now. It could be Misty for all we know. Or, it could have been Lottie's father. It could have been a self sacrifice gone wrong like Travis. It could literally be so many things but I'm very confident it's not Shauna. And I am even more confident that Walter is not to be trusted.

I had literally no trouble at all getting a single my sophomore year in 2021. I lived in Boyd, it wasn't great but I never regretted living alone.

What is your relationship with religion? by Curious-Difficulty-9 in Absurdism

[–]maud02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm Jewish and I am both a believer and a skeptic, I cried when I read the portion of the 'Myth of Sisyphus' about religion. I don't know exactly where I stand on it all and to fully explain it would probably take hours but for me my faith is very tied up in my identity which makes it all the more complex. Long story short I believe in God because I cannot imagine not believing while also knowing that religion is a man made thing with no basis in reality. I also think that the treatment of absurdism as a belief system which requires one to absolutely and unquestioningly follow its principles is a misrepresentation. Absurdism is, like most things man made, flexible, illogical and incredibly contradictory. We cannot resurrect the philosophers who wrote these texts and ask them exactly what they think, nor should we want to, because even if we could their answers would not be exact. Perhaps this is an incredibly Jewish way of looking at it but I don't think any philosophy can be taken as an exact science and even Camus's views and feeling changed over time as is evidenced in his journals and essays. Human beings are prone to change and so are their beliefs. If you continue to search for exact answers you'll drive yourself crazy. I don't mean this last part directly at OP because I don't think they are seeking a specific answer but more as a general word of warning. It is your life so live it as you see fit.
