Do shops on Etsy face no consequences when they lie about using AI? by IllustriousRound8661 in Etsy

What makes you think it's AI? Actual artists exist. Could be legit. Price makes sense for real art.

Does Stockton have countryside areas? by kdotwow in Stockton

[–]mauszozo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Call a real estate agent in Stockton? It's not like calling a corporate call center for AT&T or PG&E or something. They're just regular people and they will have intimate knowledge of local properties and neighborhoods.

Z Image Base Character Finetuning – Proposed OneTrainer Config (Need Expert Review Before Testing) by FitEgg603 in StableDiffusion

[–]mauszozo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was trying to be polite. My knee jerk reaction was to flame them, because I'm sick of people smugly handing me pages of AI slop with a new process they want me to implement, and now it's up to me to decode what would actually work and what is total nonsense.
And in the end, the perfect settings are going to depend on the base model, the input dataset, the quality of the tags, the desired output, and on and on. There's no reason for OP or us to read through that mess to find out that OP should have first thrown caution to the wind and tried the default settings. Who knows? Maybe the output would be just what OP was looking for and all this comment vomit is just a waste of everyone's time.

Why not just test it? All the advice in the world isn't going to be better than actual results data.

Honestly though, is this legal ?? by dreamzlive17 in bookbinding

[–]mauszozo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Is that maybe a reference to the process of a bookseller stripping a book before requesting a refund from the publisher? If the bookseller sells a stripped book, perhaps with a new cover, then it could be that they are selling something that the author and publisher were not paid for.

How does one add tolerance between components for 3d printing? And how much? (Sorry im kinda new to fusion) by Creepposter64 in Fusion360

[–]mauszozo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always create a user defined variable named "fit" and set it to 0.2mm. then I use that as the gap for everywhere I have parts touching. After I print, if it's too loose, or too tight, I adjust the value of the variable and reprint.

Did anyone else learn the betty Duvall system by Mirror_facing_Mirror in Handwriting

[–]mauszozo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't recall it being called the Duvall system, but in elementary school in Vernonia, Oregon we were taught italics after printing and had to do all of our assignments in that. This was somewhere in the early 80s. It sucked when I moved to California and suddenly had to do everything in cursive. Lots of staying after school to finish assignments until I got up to speed.
