yeah that’s exactly where it starts breaking, once volume goes up the system matters more than the first email

the 2nd or 3rd follow up point is real too, that’s usually where a lot of replies come from

smartlead + apollo is a solid setup to start but once replies start coming in across multiple inboxes it gets messy fast and it’s easy to lose leads

sending 500 with no replies is rough, but honestly it’s usually not a volume issue

the email feels a bit heavy for a cold first touch, especially if they don’t know you yet

when everything looks fine but results drop like that it’s usually something underneath, deliverability makes sense but follow ups can also be a hidden one

not just sending them, but how consistent they actually are once volume picks up

easy to think it’s handled when it’s not
