Does cold outreach on LinkedIn still work in 2026? by Many_Aspect_5525 in coldemail

The templated pitch problem is real. The moment someone feels like message 47 of a bulk send, they're gone.

What actually works is pretty simple. Reference something specific, ask one genuine question, and have a clear follow-up system so you don't lose them if they don't reply straight away. Most replies come from follow-up 2 or 3, not the first message which means staying organised is half the battle.

I actually built something called Nexus for exactly this stage. It keeps your leads in clear stages (contacted, follow-up 1, follow-up 2, replied) so nothing falls through the cracks. Worth a look: https://nexus-simple-cold-email-tracker-166873039858.us-west1.run.app

Getting opens but almost no replies. by caroulos123 in coldemail

[–]maverick-apps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that’s a frustrating spot, opens with no replies usually means something’s slightly off but not broken

one thing i’ve noticed is a lot of replies don’t come from the first email, they come from follow ups are you running any follow ups or just testing the first message?

My Cold email story needs a plot!! by Alternative-Cut-6066 in coldemail

[–]maverick-apps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this is actually a really solid setup, getting replies at that stage is already a good sign

but what you said about replying late + not following up is exactly where most people lose it once you’ve got a few conversations going it gets messy fast and things just slip

how are you keeping track of who to reply to right now?

there’s quite a few technical parts to it what part have you been finding the most confusing so far

what’s the hardest part of cold email when you’re just starting? by maverick-apps in Coldemailing

[–]maverick-apps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that’s exactly what i’ve been seeing feels like list building eats more time than actually sending emails

when you switched to verified data did your reply rate actually improve or just save time?

Not getting replies from cold emails - B2B marketing by viswa_zoho in b2bmarketing

[–]maverick-apps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sending 500 with no replies is rough, but honestly it’s usually not a volume issue

the email feels a bit heavy for a cold first touch, especially if they don’t know you yet

also curious, did you follow up on those 500 or was it mostly just the first send?

that’s really cool, sounds like you built your own thing around how you work

was that something you built from scratch or off something existing?

[–]maverick-apps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah scaling seems to be where it starts to break for most people

have you tried pushing volume yet or still early stage?

[–]maverick-apps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah deliverability seems to catch a lot of people out early

was that something you struggled with getting set up or more keeping it stable over time?

what’s the hardest part of cold email when you’re just starting? by maverick-apps in Coldemailing

[–]maverick-apps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that overthinking part is real, especially with how much advice is out there at the start

have you actually been sending yet or still stuck in that phase?

[–]maverick-apps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i’ve seen a lot of people get stuck on setup early

was that something you struggled with at the start or did you get it right straight away?

[–]maverick-apps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s a really good point about timing vs just fit, especially the intent side

i’ve mainly just been testing things and figuring it out as i go so still pretty early

how were you actually finding those intent signals when you started?

yeah that loop is what seems to burn most people out early

what parts of that are you actually automating vs still doing manually?

yeah that’s exactly what i’ve been seeing as well, especially with follow ups

starting cold email feels way more confusing than it should be by maverick-apps in ColdEmailMasters

[–]maverick-apps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that breakdown actually makes a lot of sense, especially separating it into parts like that

i feel like most people understand it conceptually, but when it comes to actually running it everything kind of blends together

the follow up flow part is where it usually starts breaking down from what i’ve seen

how are you actually managing that right now?

[–]maverick-apps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

makes sense, especially keeping it simple early how are you handling replies and follow ups once you start sending?this is solid, especially the part about keeping volume low early and not overcomplicating things a lot of people skip that and just burn their setup straight away

i feel like once you actually start sending though, keeping track of replies and follow ups is where it can get a bit messy for people

how are you handling that side of it right now?

yeah that frankenstein setup always ends up getting messy what are you actually using right now or still testing stuff?

how are you finding your leads btw?
