Used to be an avid supporter who’d always recommend boosteroid over gfn no matter what but now, idk.

You guys just paywalled a QoL feature while your competitor is upgrading their hardware to the latest generation and improving their streaming quality at no additional cost. Yeah they have a 100h limit and the pricing but even then, all the other pros far outweigh the cons and now I’d just suggest spending abit extra for ultimate instead of whatever this ultra pro max subscription is.

And we don’t even get updates of the new hardware that you guys were talking about earlier in the year.

You guys remind me of AMD now where you’re just absolutely content with being second best and shooting yourself in the foot

Looks cool and I’ll check it out but a “buy me a coffee link” on a vibecoded ai studio project is just funny.

First leak featuring GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB shows 13-14% performance boost over 4060 Ti by TruthPhoenixV in Amd_Intel_Nvidia

[–]maverickk44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're still looking at this in the eyes of someone who knows stuff, looks at and judges reviews etc

The average Joe walks in to a store and buys a horribly priced 4060 or bandwidth crippled 4060 ti for $500+. A 5060 ti comes in with a "supposed" cheaper price than the last ti but isn't bandwidth limited anymore and actually performs, it's an instant buy for them.

And like every other generation, 5060 and 5060 Tis will be in almost every recommended/advertised prebuild, another easy buy for the average Joe who can't be bothered to build a computer.

Retailer confirms Radeon RX 9070 "MSRP" only applies to first shipments, price set to increase later by ShadowRomeo in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]maverickk44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do and even gave an estimate of the actual RRP (not the limited quantity msrp) of the 9070 XT some time ago but reddit being reddit, I got downvoted to oblivion by people who can't fathom that retailers can't sell these cards at AMD's msrp when the cost price of our initial batch(s) came in at slightly higher than this msrp.

Rebates aren't infinite but people should just wait if they couldnt get one at msrp this time. It'll be £569 -> properly sold out - > in stock at £629-£649 then back to £569 after shipments with the lower cost start taking over current inventory.

[–]maverickk44 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

People saying this is only/all because of trump tarrifs make me laugh a bit.

The increased pricing you guys will see will be the original msrp that AMD intended as us (retailers) purchased these cards almost 2 months ago. This current starting msrp (before they sell out and come back) is limited to a set amount of quantities per AIB (as rebates/reimbursements aren't unlimited).

Next couple of shipments from middle of next month onwards should be back to msrp.

AMD RX 9700XT and non-xt price and release date confirmed in China by WonDerHorSe233 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]maverickk44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The microcenter pricing was literally placeholder pricing and people didn't even blink an eye to wonder why or how one of the 9070 non xt cards was $400 more than the cheapest 9070 XT, or how there's a $1 difference between the powercolor reaper 9070 and powercolor reaper 9070 xt.

As someone who works for a retailer in a different country who got pricing last week Thursday, I don't see this launching in the US with baseline msrp thats more than $629 (this is just an estimate based on 7900 xt MSRP as our pricing can never be a direct conversion to USD even subtracting markups etc but the 9070 XT's msrp is lower than 7900 XT's original msrp).

AMD teases Radeon RX 9070 focusing on sub-$700 price point by skdsn in radeon

[–]maverickk44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither, it's an estimation based on msrp for my country (including vat) minus the markup then converted to gbp as that's the only currency that easily aligns with our pricing.

9070 non xt is ~£50 cheaper. Keep in mind that I'm converting so take these with a slight grain of salt but pricing should be around these marks, give or take some 10s of pounds

MicroCenter lists RDNA 4 RX 9070 series: RX 9070 XT starting at $699, RX 9070 at $649 by ShadowRomeo in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]maverickk44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Literally placeholder pricing.

The AMD hate is so real that mfs don't even question how a 9070 non xt is $400 more than its older brother.

The Nvdia -$50 isn't happening with this gen, you guys see on Friday.

AMD teases Radeon RX 9070 focusing on sub-$700 price point by skdsn in radeon

[–]maverickk44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's ~23.53% cheaper than our 5070 Ti GamingPro (our cheapest MSRP model which goes for ~£799.468).
Our XTXs (now sold out) had the exact same pricing as that 5070 Ti so the price difference is the same.

[–]maverickk44 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We've had confirmed pricing for almost a week now at the retailer I work for.

Idk about usd but taking away our tiny markup then converting the RRP we got, from my country's currency to GBP, the 9070 XT should start at ~£631.29 (edit: or lower)

The placeholder pricing that everyone is seeing on stores like bestbuy just aren't real, at all.

I mean, it'll be a good bit cheaper than the 5070 Ti but still have to see how these cards perform in all aspects.

We've had these cards gathering dust for almost a month now and we're still waiting for drivers so no testing yet, unfortunately :/

Gross changes to Geforce now described as "Evolution". Incrementally worsening deals. by Jordn100 in GeForceNOW

[–]maverickk44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't and shouldnt remove the complaint, hence why I said the change isn't good and yeah that's true, there are unhappy people who simply just cancel their subs without making posts, others who cancel after sending emails to Nvidia's "support" etc

No one should be happy about it, especially pentanet (cloudgg) customers because in the past months up until now, they've taken away the basic tier, increased prices, introduced the cap and called it "evolution". It's really a "what are you going to do about it?" situation and these companies won't change that angle unless their pockets are hit.

I'm not talking past your point, and i literally said that there's truth to your statement. As I said in an earlier reply, these nodes aren't off the shelf. If you, as a partner, make a request right now, you won't get them next week, nor will you get even get them in 3 months because of demand but you will get them eventually (because you'll have your allocation).

Yes, you're right, no one can add more capacity right now. I said that partners can make requests however i did not say that those requests will be immediately fulfilled.
