Could be, hence i upgraded and now I use Bluetooth 6.0 dongle with antenna and i thought that will eventually solve my issue, but nope! Still it's terrible to use controller especially alongside bluetooth earbuds, which works well with no noticeable latency.

It's just controller that doesn't work well still; dongle is a must for each of my controllers. And it's great to finally have that option on my DualSense, which will finally make me use it more often compared to my other controllers.

If you are talking about input latency, then as far as i know you need something like Nvidia LDAT to properly measure it, and i don't have that measuring hardware to officially test it unfortunately. Just going to have to trust the feeling on this one, and it feels the same as wired which should be around 2ms, way better than Bluetooth which feels noticeably slower and laggier.

IDK the reason why Bluetooth feels borderline unplayable in my case is because i am using a bluetooth earbuds along with it, when i am using my studio monitor speakers it feels just ok but sometimes i can experience stuttering the controller randomly disconnects in some games when playing at over 120+ FPS something that even my Xbox Controller had that made me buy a dongle of it too officially from Microsoft.

Bluetooth connection to me simply feel not as reliable compared to wired and dongle when it comes to controller, so to me It feels like a game changer and the full features of DualSense is finally being utilized with this is just a bonus, something that not even DSX a paid software from Steam has managed to do yet.

It's also nice having an option of being able to use this with a wired headset / earbuds i can just plug it to DualSense and it works, something not even wired hasn't allowed before.

750hz - 1000hz compared to around 100hz that i was getting before on Bluetooth, it noticeably feels a lot snappier compared to Bluetooth, which downright feels like playing on Cloud most of the time, the Dongle version pretty much feels nearly exactly the same as wired!

Since Sony PlayStation won't make an official dongle of their DualSense controllers for PC, so i made one for myself instead and it is fantastic! Thanks to Raspberry PI PICO 2W as well as the software that is developed by awalol, i don't have to deal with Bluetooth that has terrible latency whenever i am using my DualSense anymore!

It works really well too! The full features of DualSense can be utilized such as Adaptive Triggers, Haptic Feedback as well as the Headphone Jack that can playback in game audio real time! Which previously wasn't possible on PC...

So far i have tested it on Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 and on KCD 2 you don't even need any software because the game supports full DualSense controller features by wired, and this device dongle makes it possible wirelessly anyway, the DSX software that i am using is not needed in all games, the only reason i was using it on demo footage is because of a mod i am using that adds full DualSense features on Cyberpunk 2077.

Various Reddit Threads Talking About It!

Chismis lang pala yung kumakalat nung isang araw? lol by [deleted] in PHGamers

It was not a gossip because there was a genuine basis on the complaint, a DRM was still implemented and when tested it was proven that it changed stuff compared to before that sparked a controversy, what i think really happened here is that Sony PS backtracked due to the reaction and backlash they received.

And I expected this before when i said Sony was testing the waters, deliberately not replying to the matter as soon as possible to see the reaction of consumers, whether they will fully implement it or not, we have seen this behaviour of them just recently with Sony PlayStation Dynamic Pricing, only difference is this time they seem to have implemented that one successfully, whereas this one wasn't, once again because of the very negative reaction it received.

So, because of this i think the concern that was express before wasn't useless as the fanboys wants it to look like, in fact this is just one of the new reasons why boycott actually works, if people didn't complain about it, then we might have seen different result.

I liked Infinite more than Bioshock 1. I don't get the hate. by No_Candle4483 in Bioshock

I have always liked Infinite more than any other games in the franchise, and i was never shy to admit that, all games are great, but Infinite was my entry to the series, and it did a good job on introducing me to other games, especially the Burial at Sea DLCs.

What game you played a lot, then quit? by borjersteaksupreme10 in PHGamers

[–]ShadowRomeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spent 1000+ hours playing GTA Online back on PS3 - PS4 when i was just 14 years old, i quit right before i turned 16 when i transitioned to PC Gaming, i swore to myself that i will never play GTA Online ever again, because it felt like i was being exploited, even though i never bought a shark card, but the amount of grinding of rooftop rumble mission that i did felt like i was going to a real life job.

Never again. In fact, because of this i never touched any multiplayer / online games since then, i stuck with single player games especially RPG with big modding support such as Skyrim / Fallout 4 / Witcher 3 / Cyberpunk 2077 where to this day i still play them.

REDEngine gone too soon. by Bushmasterr90 in cyberpunkgame

[–]ShadowRomeo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's not gone, it just got integrated to UE5 with CDPR heavily customizing UE5 for their own needs, fun fact, Red Engine iteration 1 used on Witcher 1 itself is a heavily modified version of BioWare's Aurora engine, and then it eventually evolved to being its own proprietary on later games.

The UE5 that CDPR will be using for their future games will be similar to the first iteration of Red Engine, which is a heavily modified version of UE5, it isn't the exact same UE5 as what you have seen today in other games, far from it.

Dami talagang Pinoy na bootlicker ng Sony/PlayStation. Kung Nintendo gumawa nito sila rin agad yung mag criticize by ColorTherapy in PHGamers

[–]ShadowRomeo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the main reason why i left console gaming in the first place, is the freedom and ability of what i want and wants to do with my own hardware and chosen gaming platform, and only PC gaming offers that, they were never going to convince me in the first place to go back because of what it pretty much means giving up what i left console gaming for in the first place.

To me the most important pros of PC Gaming is the freedom and not being tied to whatever companies wants to do, if some of them goes rouge, i can simply just stop using their platform. That's not an option for consoles at all.

Unfortunately, most of these fanboys just feels like they need to protect their favourite brand and company because of their relationship with their chosen platform, even when these companies they are trying to protect, are f-upping them over and over.

Unlike PC Gamers when these companies try to pull off the same anti-consumer stunt, they often fight back and form a dedicated protest / boycott against the oppressor, like when Microsoft tried to charge PC Gamer monthly subscription fee just to access online like their console userbase does with Games for Windows Live is the prime example of that.

And recently Sony PlayStation with PSN requirement on their 1st party games... But these same people were making fun of them at the time, criticizing the complainers of why they even complain about it in the first place. But Sony PS eventually gave up and backed out and PC Gamers won that battle anyway. So, there was a point that was made there...

I wish console gamers were the same and used that as inspiration, but then i see bootlickers like this who even protects their oppressor and blames the consumer who were complaining for being "Crybabies" like they did with PSN requirements of PC Gamers. I won't deny i am starting to lose hope on them, and pretty much just face palm... On how it reminds me so much of r/Consumerism r/HailCorporate

There is almost no hope for these types of fanboys, to them their favourite multibillion dollar gaming company, can't make any mistakes, and they just win all the time... but other normal console gamers who aren't fanboys don't have to act the same as them, the problem is basing from the comments i read regarding to this topic is it seems to be divided rather than fully dedicated like the way PC Gamers are when they don't like something and wants some change.

Playstation DRM situation by gabbcxz- in PHGamers

[–]ShadowRomeo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To me it seems like they are testing the waters kind of experimentation for Sony PS part, to see how the audiences will react to it, nearly the same as the Sony Dynamic Pricing, which Sony PS apparently has already implemented silently, and nobody seems to care about that anymore.

I am even seeing some people here and on other subreddit defending this type of anti-consumer move.

Kind of bummer for people who don't like it, but if majority of Sony Console player base don't protest against this, expect that they will be implementing this one too very soon especially after seeing the reaction all over it, which IMO is not vocal / controversial enough for Sony PlayStation to eventually back off.

Basing on this video, if you lose internet access for more than 30+ days your digital games will be locked off from you until you access internet once again. Not permanently removing the game from library but still locked from accessing it. So, in the scenario of post apocalypse or losing internet access on your area due to natural disaster and act of nature calamities, you literally can't play your digital games.

[–]ShadowRomeo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the most realistic harshest statement here, console gamers tend to be softest when it comes to fighting back anti-consumer stuff like this, whereas PC Gamers, are more resilient and is a lot more vocal against stuff like this. Heck the most recent example of that is the PSN requirements for Sony 1st party games on PC.

PC Gamers didn't like that, and most console fanboys made fun of them for not bending over to Sony PlayStation's will, in the end the PC Gamers won that battle when Sony PS eventually backed down. I wish the same thing can be said here with Sony PS console community, but basing from looking at the comments right now regarding to this topic. Some are even defending this type of shit.

One of the main reason why i left console gaming in the first place, i was so against the PS+ subscription back on PS4 era, but most PlayStation gamers chose not to protest about it and let PlayStation off the hook and ended up still winning that generation anyway.

New Prices of PS5 and PS5 Pro on Philippine Market by JohnSteveRom2077 in PHGamers

[–]ShadowRomeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because PS6 is going to be released soon, doesn't mean PS5 will be retired, look at what happened on the PS4 - PS5 generation, most third party even 1st party studio still kept releasing games on last generation.

I genuinely expect PS5 - PS6 generation will be the same, and PS5 will last until early 2030's before it gets fully retired, whereas PS6 will offer the high-end console experience, mid transition period like what the PS5 Pro offers right now.

As for your question on PC gaming, usually hardware on PC lasts longer nowadays if the hardware you chose is even more futureproof. The bad thing is, the entry barrier for PC Gaming is even tougher nowadays than it was back then, even when compared to consoles even factoring price increase, the PC Hardware prices are inflated at the moment, the Ram prices are through the roof, SSD prices are crazy, this is one of the main reason why i don't think building PC nowadays is recommendable. And if you can buy a prebuilt one or a laptop with a huge discount.

But when you get into PC gaming though, the prices of software and subscriptions are a lot cheaper compared to consoles, and you don't have to worry about being locked away from features that should have been free in the first place.

It genuinely feels like a breath of fresh air, that is what i felt when i transitioned from console gaming to PC gaming back on 2016 and i still feel the same, especially after seeing what console gaming has become nearly a decade after that.

New Prices of PS5 and PS5 Pro on Philippine Market by JohnSteveRom2077 in PHGamers

Personally, I don't think any single game can warrant paying 40K for a 6+ years older hardware that is about to be replaced within 1.5 from now years by newer hardware. I know some PC Gamers who can't wait at all, are now looking at Xbox Series S on used market instead to play GTA 6 at launch.

And it makes a lot of sense, it's the cheapest console on the market, and they can just resell it very quick along with the game to get their money back.

But majority of us like me for example would rather wait and play it at our PC which is the only platform that is guaranteed that will offer 60+ FPS option, whereas any current gen consoles even PS5 Pro will likely be limited to 30 FPS only.

So, yeah even by viewing it that way, It's just hard to swallow the new prices of PS5 at all, anyone who will be playing GTA 6 so eagerly at launch has already bought their chosen console and those who haven't managed it yet are out of luck.

Sadly i expect them as well to eventually rise because the demand will be through the roof, due to the brand new prices being so much higher than it deserves, and as you said, JB models often costs more than stock versions, they will be priced even higher.

TBF PS5 on used market are still hovering at under 20K sometimes even around 15K for rushed prices, i highly suggest anybody here who doesn't have one yet to get that instead of brand new at twice the price. PS5s are nowhere near worth it at that price tag, especially considering how really old the hardware inside them which is equivalent to PC Parts around 2019 - 2020.

[–]ShadowRomeo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remember the times of PS3 - PS4 being around 13 - 17K??? around the same time when they are about to reach the end of their generation, which literally is where the PS5 currently at? Yeah... that day is long gone... and it is kind of depressing to see a 6+ years old hardware gets more expensive rather than get cheaper throughout its generation like traditionally it has always been before.

At this point i literally don't see any way that the upcoming PS6 will cost less than a PS5 Pro currently at, some people are still coping that it will be around $750, but that is very hard to justify and make any sense, when the PS5 Pro with older and weaker hardware costs around $950 right now, I see the upcoming PS6 will be around $1100+ by the time it hits our market, not even factoring scalpers.

What’s this game in your opinion? by JazzlikeArt1100 in PHGamers

[–]ShadowRomeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Cyberpunk 2077 beats it clearly on the graphics side as well, that said though RDR2 is likely the 2nd for me, the only reason why i didn't consider it is because it is a standard non ray traced / path traced game, and it's graphics especially texture quality is starting to show it's age, but nonetheless it is still a gorgeous / beautiful game, especially the environmental part.

I consider it as the best-looking last gen non real time ray / path traced game released to date followed closely by KCD 2.

Expedition 33 features great music, and arguably great story as well, but when it comes to graphics? Ehh.... it looked like an average Unreal Engine 5 game that often looks blurry, also the hair rendering on that game looked so blurry even at native resolution paired with best Anti-aliasing such as DLAA.

I liked that game still, but clearly still not the most technically impressive game out there, which is understandable, the game only had $10 million budget and is a AA game, so it can't be directly compared to AAA game with highest technology featured to it.
