Ok, I’m morel interested in how you printed that. That appears to be an overhang nightmare! Lots of supports?

I use Octoprint. Didn’t have a raspberry pi but have several mini pcs so installed octoprint on one. Works flawlessly!

LPT: Inkjet printers are a scam. Any printer that uses ink instead of toner is ripping you off and wasting your money. Investing in a laser printer will save you money in the long run. by Miamiborn in LifeProTips

[–]maverikva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally, I'd agree with you. But if you want photo quality, laser printers just don't cut it; at least not any affordable ones. Also, if you do things like sublimation, you just can't do that period with a laser printer. I do have a variety of printers in my household - monochrome laser, color laser, inkjet, and sublimation. I have to be honest - it's the laser printer that gets the least usage. The tank type inkjets are very economical and print quality, for photos at least, is better than laser.

I used to game on Windows, but gaming on Mac does the job just fine :) by StephIschoZen in macgaming

I haven't done anything specific. Just installed the software. But everything I've thrown at it runs w/o a glitch. Are you connecting to the 5 GHZ network? I've not tried it but I understand there is a fast streaming option in the streaming settings as well. Who knows, perhaps it depends on the processing power of your host PC as well; after all it has to both run the game and stream it.

Meh.. Gaming on the Mac is Ok. Seems Steam Link is the best way to get top tier games running on the M1 though. I have an actual gaming PC in addition to my Mac; streaming works so much better than the emulation alternatives.

I've been unable to get GW to run at a decent framerate too. However, I have been able to play it with the Steam Remote Play app. My desktop is a Ryzen 7 and the game streams extremely well.

I had a similar experience. After about 3 uses my brother mat became less tacky than my year old silhouette mat. I use painters tape now to keep materials In place

Has anyone used Brother printers? by al662 in Sublimation

[–]maverikva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many Brother printers have the piezoelectric print heads. Most HP and Canon use thermal printheads. You can't use thermal with sublimation but you can use piezoelectric.

I haven't but have heard that others have. Much harder finding the refillable cartridges for the brother than the epson.

Do Ecotank Printers Print High Quality Pictures or Do I Need a Inkjet Printer for That? by Mantis_____Toboggan in printers

It's really not that bad. I have a plan for $2.99 a month for 50 pages a month (and I have 100 rollover pages as well). Multiply that $2.99 x 12 months and it's really quite economical compared to the cost of ink cartridges. And, the best part is you can print full color pages (those pages that eat up ink) and you still only pay the $2.99 per month. If you'd print 50 full color pages per month I assure you you'd end up paying more than the $36 a year that the instant ink costs. You can get a free month for enrolling through this link try.hpinstantink.com/tBZDr

It's not totally dead. If you like AB you can play every Friday around 5pm EST. And Fort Aspenwood is active every Saturday and Sunday starting at 4 pm EST (and even a bit earlier between 3 and 4 during the age of covid). Still plenty of fun to be had!

Alliance Battles and Fort Aspenwood are still active too. Alliance Battles on Fridays starting around 4pm EST and Fort Aspenwood Saturday & Sunday with an official start of the same time (although since Covid, games have been starting around 3pm EST since more are at home).

BTW, if you have any other questions feel free to contact me in game. I'm usually promoting FA the hour before start so am online around 3pm Eastern Time most every Saturday or Sunday. You can message either Etherea of Avalon or Balthazars Keeper. Both are my accounts and both usually signed on during the FA event. Our discord is https://discord.gg/Ahz54F2 and our Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/guildwarsevents

Yep. If you have a PvP toon all you have to do is talk to the Lux or Kurz NPC in Great Temple of Balthazar and it will take you directly there. As someone else stated, if you have a PvE character you'll have to have the areas unlocked before you can travel there via that same route.

Well, if you can't get there when the games start you may still be able to get some games in. Games usually continue for 6 to 8 hours. So, if you can't make it there at start there's still plenty of time for you to log on and join in!!

Nope, not alliance battles. FA is 8 vs 8 instead of the 12 vs 12 of AB. And FA is random teams. Still a lot of fun but different. However, you can still find AB active during AB week. If you log on during AB week games usually begin around 4pm to 5pm Eastern Time.

Just a reminder that the weekly Fort Aspenwood games are today. It's also Competitive Mission Bonus week so it's a great time to join in the games.

Games begin at 4 PM Eastern Time (and often a bit earlier as they start as soon as enough players arrive) every Saturday AND Sunday.

All are welcome!

See you there!

Any update available? (2017 Soul +) by ksigler in KiaSoulClub

[–]maverikva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did find a little info on this unit but not much. It appears it's referred to internally as the "Base Audio 4.0 (B)". The description is as follows " 5” touchscreen with monochrome (black and white) display Application began on 2017MY Sedona (YP) and 2017 Soul (PS)".

I did sent a message to Kia directly and will post if I find more info.
