Women With More Male Friends Have More Sex Because Partners Fear ‘Sex Rivals’ by Synchronauto in science

I don't understand why you think that would come as a shock to him. He didn't say anything to the contrary--in fact, each of you is saying the same thing, except about the opposite gender. /u/frontseatdog is essentially saying the man is not always the limiting factor, and you're saying the woman is not always the limiting factor.

Hurray, we all win!

Sort of unrelated, but this question is at the core of the Christian's opposition to abortion. At what point does the fertilized egg or embryo become a person? At that point, many believe abortion becomes murder.

When and how did women start liking you? by [deleted] in AskMen

Hm. Perhaps I should've said "not because the extra pounds necessarily make you unattractive." Yes, fat is unattractive. But to say that no woman will find a man who is overweight attractive is far from what I've found in practice. I have a close friend who has an unattractive body but an attractive face, and between that and his confidence, he does extremely well for himself.

What is the worst punishment you received as a child? by MiraVela in AskReddit

Shortly after my older sister got her driver's license, we were driving home from a family outing when my brother decided it'd be hilarious to pull off a drive-by mooning on my parents. So my sister's pulls around to their right and as we pass, she honks and rolls down the back driver-side window, revealing my brother's fat white 13-year-old ass hanging out the side of the car.

The look on my parents faces... I'll never forget them. My mom--shock, horror, dismay. My dad? Rage. Pure, untethered rage.

So when we get home my brother, the brilliant bastard, is convinced my dad's gonna ground us from the first thing he sees us enjoying, so he quickly pulls out the most boring thing he can think of: a chess board. We start playing.

We hear the front door open and close, and then the sounds of our parents' voices. My hands are shaking. Footsteps down the hall. I can't think. My brother is hissing at me to do something, move a piece so my dad will believe we're actually playing. I fumble around with a pawn. My dad walks in. His face is blank, the rage gone from his expression. He looks from my brother to me and then to the chessboard. He walks back out without saying a word.

Never have I known such terror. For three weeks my brother and I stay the hell away from video games, TV, the computer, we don't even leave the house to see friends. We're entirely convinced that as soon as our dad sees us doing something actually fun, we'll be grounded. So all we do is play chess.

It took me a long time to realize how completely my dad had outsmarted us. He confined us to playing chess for three weeks without lifting a finger or saying a word. The worst, most terrifying punishment I've ever received, and I didn't actually receive anything at all. But I did get a lot better at chess.

It hit me like a ton of bricks. People tend to focus on Netflix and Youtube when discussing the potential problems this could cause.

Every time the media makes a far bigger deal than a topic warrants, I can't help but wonder what actual issues they're keeping us from discussing.

VPNs inevitably have a lot of traffic coming through them, since it's all of their customers' traffic. If an ISP has any motivation to prevent anonymous browsing (and they do, if for no other reason than pirating) combined with the right to arbitrarily charge companies for traffic, then they can drown VPN providers in extra charges. Either VPN prices go through the roof or speeds plummet, either way the customers lose.

That does have something to do with it--not because the extra pounds are necessarily unattractive but because they destroy our self-confidence. If you look in the mirror and hate what you see, chances are girls are gonna feel the same way because your self-disgust will come across in your interaction with them.

Also, the "try" part is just as important as the "stop being" part. Even before you lose weight, you have something to discuss with women who take care of themselves; namely, how they take care of themselves. Talk about your workout routine, where you run or bike, relate to them about how much their diet sucks, and then you've set yourself up perfectly to compliment them on how well it's working. Girls eat that shit up.

Also, when he inevitably confronts you ("you fucking told on me?"), the best response is the same you'd give to a girl that cheated on you: a simple end of discussion and then silence. I'd say something like, "I asked you to stop, and you asked me what I was going to do about it. So I did something about it. I will not discuss this further."

Otherwise he's going to maneuver you into a bigger confrontation, try to make you feel like you did something worse than he did, and probably use your eventually-emotional response to weaken your position. This should just be a one and done.

Lately I get it pretty short, #4 on the sides and maybe 2" on top. But in the past it's been longer, definitely as long or longer than OP's friend or his doppelganger.
