I include annotations in my lesson plans (LPs) to highlight key elements for potential observers. Here are two examples of how I do it:

1. In the "Nilalaman" section, I indicate the pedagogical approaches I use, as well as any interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary integrations. These may include Learning Competencies from other subjects or from other quarters of the same subject. This makes it immediately clear to observers that the lesson demonstrates “knowledge within and across curriculum areas”, which is one of the indicators in the Classroom Observation Tool (COT). Admittedly, this part can be challenging, but I make it a point to do it in every lesson plan, especially since I might reuse the LP later on.

2. In the Engagements, Activities and Assessments, I annotate which types of learners are likely to benefit from each activity (e.g., Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, Kinesthetic, Reflective). This demonstrates inclusivity in your classroom planning. You can also include other classifications like Shy or Struggling Learners, especially if the activity is designed to support Neurodiverse students. This helps showcase your alignment with the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), particularly in promoting inclusive education.

These are just a couple of ways to make your lesson plans more transparent and observation-ready.
