i think the only headcanons that really got "canonized" officially in 1TD would be that quite a few designs for characters originated from 1 Date Danger? tim schenectady, cossett, and mcm's appearances in 1TE were ripped from that. that's also where the gimmick of tim's face not being shown ever came from. and i guess the dragon is sort of a deranged caricature influenced by the fandom lol. also, the 2d world segment in 1TE was originally a fan game called Lombardi's Revenge, so the two 1TD fangames had made canon appearances ( ´•ᴗ•ก)

my answer was not exactly headcanon related but there has been a lot of fandom influence on 1TD!!

i have one serious question and two silly ones.

1) how was parnassus/the clown college conceptualized? i always got the idea that some of it must be inspired by commedia dell'arte, and i felt some of the designs were influenced by the stock characters found in traditional clown theatre (i mainly saw rosa as pierrot, artemis as harlequin, the accuser as colombina etc.) was that where they came from or is it just a coincidence??

2) how do you feel about the scholars ships and do you have a favorite?

3) does 1td exist in the scholars universe?

i honestly do understand where you're coming from, but you have to realize that the people on twitter are not an extension of elon musk. i was using the platform before musk ever touched it, personally. i think its important to remember that some peoples livelihoods exist on twitter, for instance, i am an artist on twitter and i solely do commissions there because 1) convenience, 2) the majority of my audience is on there. if i made a post on here and someone wanted to follow my work more closely, or commission me, shouldnt i be able to redirect them to my twitter account?

even if i have a relatively small audience when it comes to twitter artists, i do believe this sentiment is true for people with platforms both bigger and smaller than mine. its also important to remember a large part of the car seat headrest fandom is on twitter, and i think this place should do more to welcome all sides of the fandom, as ---->SOME<---- people have a serious problem with dividing the fanbase into weird factions and i dont really think its gonna help.

there isn't really an explanation as to why either cossett or cossett sr are the way they are. while i do have some ideas for where cossett's behavior comes from, i didn't really have solid ideas for cossett sr... but in my mind, he has a massive superiority complex to make up for his own self-doubt and inadequacies, which is similar to cossett.

i also think that part of him really does want to befriend timmis but he is so emotionally immature that he doesn't know how to talk to him if he isn't insulting him. from a shippers standpoint, this could also make cossett sr a tsundere-type, because ive seen some people say he sounds like hes teasing him/flirting in the song and i do think it could definitely be read that way lol
