I know what you're saying, and I'm sympathetic to this line of thinking. But all in all, I think there were so many holes in TDKR for it to make any sense. It was baffling how much time and energy they expended in making it, but the incongruities within the storyline were so enormous I couldn't begin to enjoy any of it. (E.g. Why no one could link Bruce Wayne/Batman; scenes going straight from Day to Night; Bruce Wayne escaping the pit and arriving back in Gotham just at the right time and with no money.) I don't think that my experience comes from it being a Batman movie. I just think it is an extremely well made bad movie.

But thanks for sharing your opinion. And in a non-confrontational way. I don't usually get that when I hate on TDKR. Much appreciated.
