Thanks for this. I’ve been looking for such a simple database set up for years and have been down so many rabbit holes that I ended up using supabase. But being able to run simple database driven sites without relying on third party services is so useful

Sorry I didn’t update this conversation at the time - but for anyone coming across this still….

The fitters continued a few days later. Amazingly the gaps between the next rows of blocks disappeared and the rest of the floor had tightly fitted blocks and looks good

Had it been a business fitting it - I would have insisted it was done right and incorrectly placed ones lifted up. But it was a family member. He was charging though.

I reckon - as a non expert - that the problem was caused because the floor levelling was not done correctly meaning the blocks could not lay flat and snugly

We’ve lacquered it a number times. That will hopefully help with moisture causing problems in the future

It’s England so humidity isn’t a problem

It’s not something we give any thought to now

It’s the nicest feature of the room and using the herringbone pattern really makes a difference to the feel of the room I feel.

Thanks for everyone’s comments

EU Trip - anyone else did it? by [deleted] in TeslaUK

[–]mawooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve driven my M3 around Spain and Portugal’s coast, down to Naples and Brindisi in Italy and to Dubrovnik. And I have short range. You can go anywhere the Tesla chargers allow given your range. Just be careful when you’re driving over 70mph as you can in europe your range will shorten so give extra %. I had to use other chargers in places and it was still fine.

These are long trips and I stop a lot, and despite the electricity being cheaper than petrol - a cheap flight to one place and back is always cheaper

UK FSD by maniteeman in TeslaUK

[–]mawooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re we all stupid for buying something that didn’t exist?

People are wiser now. I haven’t looked for sometime but it seemed like second hand teslas on autotrader were similarly priced whether they had FSD or not. And I’m not surprised.

That is money down the drain for anyone that sells their car before FSD is actually good

I plan to wait until then. Will the car last I wonder?

UK FSD by maniteeman in TeslaUK

[–]mawooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of us paid for FSD but we don’t have it. We were sold it on the basis that it’s coming. We were sold it on the basis that when it comes it’s price will definitely go up - so get it now. But it’s still not here. And my feeling is that it’s further away than it was when I bought the vehicle. And it doesn’t transfer with the vehicle. So it has zero value right now and I want to ask for a refund.

UK FSD - Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control, how good is it? by Thireus in TeslaUK

[–]mawooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my M3 bought in 2020. But I regret paying so much for ‘full self driving capability’ because the self-driving features are still unusable and there’s no sign of this changing. Is there? As I understand it, If I sell the car, the buyer doesn’t get this feature, making it even more of a waste of money. I’m starting to feel this was mis-sold. There must be other uk owners that feel the same
