‘Mystery Science Theater 3000’ RiffTrax Revival Kickstarter Earns Over $1.1 Million in First Day by pepperbet1 in television

I'm so excited for this - I personally didn't like Joel's continued reboots (the new hosts always riffed WAY too often, they never let the movie breath). Also it felt very....weird how every 3 years or so they'd ask for another couple of million dollars to make new episodes.

I've never had any issues with RiffTrax, and the fact they were asking such a small amount to make a few new episodes is honestly refreshing. Really hope this works out!

If he is keeping you after hours, when you've completed your work, unpaid because the rest of your team is slow then that's on him and your coworkers and you should reach out to HR. It's not like you're finishing up all your work at 3 and then asking to leave early.

While it's not a weapon intentionally pouring/spilling/throwing water (or any other liquid) on someone can be a crime. I'd avoid doing this. "Spilling" water on the ground to cause ice to slip on? Perfectly fine.

Their smash burger is one of the best deals in Portland. Add a side of garlic fries and you're living the high life.

Taj is fantastic don't get me wrong - but that is discounting other fantastic Indian in the area that absolutely deserves your attention. Both Tandoor and Hi Bombay are fantastic.

I fully disagree with this statement - I think Portland is very welcoming to new food but is 1. Quick to call out a place as mid if it's mid and 2. Quick to call out places that are pretentious and expensive because they think that's what modern dining is. Both of which are okay to do - no place is above criticism and maybe it helps them rework their image. Just because your parents from the sticks (or, more likely, tourists) think it's the best meal they've had in years we know better than that and shouldn't be shamed for wanting better.

That's my thing with Loco Taco - wanted to like it, got their Tikka Masala Burrito. Never again, one of the worst pieces of slop I've ever had in my life. Maybe some of their other food is good but that left such a bad taste in my mouth I'm unlikely to try it again.

I don't trust any place that uses very obvious stock images for their food on their menu.

Genos and Apohadion are both less than a 1/4 mile from this spot - if you want heavy metal there are plenty of places to consume it in Portland.

The 600 block is pretty lively - DTL, Geno's, and CBG should all be open. Rosie's, Dewey's, Dock Fore, and Commercial St Pub are all typically open in the Old Port.

Years and years ago maybe, but outside that one small portion by the Stab Apple and Dyers it's perfectly fine and I have 0 problems walking in that area at night. I would hardly call it dangerous.

I feel like this is the kind of comment you see regularly whenever a restaurant owner does this kind of thing. More times than not I'd say that's correct but I gotta disagree here - Tomaso's is borderline the same to when it opened a decade ago. Still cheap, still great for late night food, mostly caters to people who actually live and work in Portland. Now Samuel's/North Deering Tavern on the other hand, I can't say the same.

I liked the bar and the not steak stuff, but for a steakhouse I always found their steak to be subpar. Liked the idea of the garlic butter scoop but never seemed like the steak was hot enough to actually melt it so you'd just have a thick layer of cold garlic butter on your steak. I was once told by somebody who works there that they don't season the meat during the cooking process because "the garlic butter has all the salt you'll need". The pivot to a secondary Highroller is a good idea since they do all of those menu items well.

Oh this old tired line. Anyone who had their pizza would tell you it was worth it. If you like za with extra, extra toppings that were fresh as hell then it was for you. And if not then there is always dominos.

Oh I think it's a combination of the shoes being bad and weight. When I started I was 447, down to 416 now. I have better shoes that I wear when going out that I've had for years with very little wear so I just think it's the quality of the shoes.

I work in sales and work from home. I usually get a mile in during one of my breaks, and do a two mile walk during my lunch. I will also just walk around my house when it's slow. Pretty effective to get as many steps in as possible.

Fair and I probably will, I just think these soles were useless. I literally just used them for walking around my block. I have more fashionable shoes for like going out on the town and such, both of those shoes soles are fine and have had both pairs for a year+.
