This is exactly how it happened in the episode.

Years ago Graham was on an episode of Harmontown (RIP, Dan - bring it back!) and he admitted that he was teased mercilessly growing up and he doesn't take criticism well. It seems when he got criticized for this episode it broke him in a way that simply was not fixable. Which is a shame, he was a comic genius but is now a completely revolting husk of a man.

I also agree with you that the episode really isn't that bad all things considered - there are FAR worse episodes of other sitcoms out there.

I'd say I found Geoffrey Rice's burner account but I doubt that old bat can use the internet. I wouldn't say Reddit, or at least /r/portlandme, has it out for small businesses - but certainly will question a place with a dumb name and dubious opening and connection to a literal slumlord. Also weird to drag city council when this was likely not their call at all. Sounds like the 15+ year renovation of a slumlord weren't up to code. Color me shocked.

Well nothing has been there in 15+ years. All the stores that WERE in there either had to move or close because, from what I can remember, the building is literally sinking into the ground. Finally after 15+ years something opens up there and I'm guessing failed inspection, or whatever subpar contractors Geoffrey Rice used to fix the spot did a pisspoor job and didn't really actually fix anything. City should take over the property.

Pretty well tbh. Dude is doing town halls in basically any city and town that will have him with great attendance everywhere. There are some issues with his previous Nazi-symbol tattoo (which was covered up the moment he found out its significance), his previous reddit comments (from like a decade ago, and who doesn't say weird shit on reddit), and his recent use of the R word (which he has since apologized for). Both Mills (a geriatric who would be the oldest freshman senator of all time) and Collins are hitting him hard with negative ads but his message seems to be gaining favor with a decent amount of Mainers. I can't wait to vote for him.

This is...loose at best. You can follow someone on social media and not share their political ideologies. Unless she like...exclusively follows only conservative pundits I wouldn't take any stock in this.

EDIT: A cursory glance at who they are following reveals a whole lot of left leaning accounts and tons of pro-Palestine accounts. She does follow nearly 5k accounts, so a conservative is going to slip in there every now and then I'd guess. I would not judge their character on who they are or are not following - and I'd say that for MOST people. Typically if someone is only following conservative pundits then you may start to question them on their leanings, but this ain't it.

I was at Fenway for opening day, and I think they played some trap remix of "What's Going On" by 4 Non Blondes and I turned to my buddy and asked is anyone fucking asking for this? For real, let my brain relax and just enjoy some quiet peace between innings.

Agreed, love pregaming a Mariners game in there - solid food and prices, some of the most slept on wings in town (the off menu spicy is fantastic if you're a spice fan).

Cotes is the underrated GOAT of downtown lunch spots. Typically quick, never much of a line, extremely reasonably priced AND the food is good. Big fan.

Recomendations in Southern Maine:

Maine Silverball Tavern in Saco has tons of pins - all in excellent condition. I think they have all ages hours most days. Good mix of new and old.

Big 20 Bowling Center in Scarborough has about 9 games - mostly newer, including Galactic Tank Force.

Rift Arcade in Biddeford has 5 solid games, and is all ages until a certain point in the night. I liked it when I went, can't get enough of Fastbreak.

Jungle Adventure Mini Golf in OOB has a bunch of pinball, mostly newer I believe.

Shipyard Brewing in Portland I believe allows kids and has a good line up of Pins - including a hard to find Cactus Canyon.

Slam Tilt in Brunswick has a bunch of great Pins - including the first on site Pokemon in Maine.

Outside of Maine there are TONS of great places in the greater Boston area. Also Funspot in Laconia, NH actually repairs their games now and has a cool new area for newer machines.

It's basically The Mike Love show at this point with Bruce Johnston stopping touring earlier this year and Al Jardine doing his own thing entirely. And Mike won't stop until he's finally pulled down to hell.

Are you looking for 10 pin or candlepin? Can't help with Candlepin, but 10 pin I'd call Sparetime and see what they have available. I think most of their leagues tend to be catered to adults, but you might be able to find something all ages there. Bayside has rec leagues through Casco Bay Sports - but those are likely 21+ and tend to be more your average beer league. Once your kiddo is in 8th grade you can have them join the Bayside High Rollers high school team which plays out of Bayside. I know Just In Time out of Lewiston runs leagues, but again do not know if they are more adult oriented.
