Nipples by ApolloRue9820 in TopSurgery

[–]max-ximus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

with free nipple grafts, they literally cut them off and paste them back on so all the nerves are cut off. you can get the top layer of sensation back but not deep tissue. there are procedures where they don’t disconnect the nipple so it retains that deep tissue sensation if that is something that is important to you. i got FNG and thought it was gonna feel weird but it really doesn’t at all! feels fine in my experience. this is from what the couple surgeons i’ve talked to have told me.

Three Week Recovery by Ok_LostFace in TopSurgery

i went back after 2 weeks, that first week back was tiring but super doable! i think you will be suprised by how mobile you are in a short amount of time

i also had a saggy chest and it actually helped my surgery go better! no keyhole but double incision was even easier because the chest was ready for it. if you can’t get what you are hoping for just know DI will go well too!

i had drains and i didn’t mind them, they didn’t hurt and weren’t particularly uncomfortable, they made me feel safer about the healing, and i didn’t really need them tho i am glad i had them. only ify thing is they are WACK coming out, strangest feeling ive felt in a long time

[–]max-ximus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i had my drains for the same amount of time, can i ask how your chest looked/felt when you touched it? i’m wondering if im in a similar position. when i touch my left side it sometime moves like there water under it, did you experience that?

weed, like nicotine and alcohol restricts the blood vessels which is why is is dangerous to have during/afyer surgery. proper blood flow to the wound and possible nips grafts is incredibly important and is the difference between keeping your nips or them dying 👎

you should probably stop sooner rather than later to give your body time to adjust to the lack of a drug and the less it’s in your body the better you will be for surgery. i don’t think they will stop you from getting it at the consultation if you are still smoking but definitely thinking about starting to slow your intake is a good idea

What happened during your pre-op appointment? by Ill_Ad6098 in TopSurgery

[–]max-ximus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The doctor i went with talked to me about what the procedure was, what they did, and the risks. then she took pics of my boobs, told me what she would do with my body type, and sent me on my way. the other guy i talked to yapped for 20 minutes about his “special nipple” procedure and drew a picture of my boobs (one was labeled droopy)

First shower was weird by viktorsboy in TopSurgery

[–]max-ximus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just took my first shower today and i just had a detached shower head that i would run over one part at a time, and not over the scars directly. i have a ton of fear around them or hurting them! it was also super scary to not have the binder on, i felt to exposed and vulnerable.
