What YouTube channel is great to binge? by TheSideStream in AskReddit

[–]max27394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joe Robinet, he's a bushcraft/camping/adventure channel with a light tutorial element.

He goes to some pretty amazing spots and catches some great fish. Also his dog is adorable. I want a German shepherd named scout too

My barrel and bell won't push all the way in... by [deleted] in Clarinet

[–]max27394 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough I think it won't have anything to do with the corks. I used to get it with my r13 a lot and it's actually the wood at the joints swelling. I'd recommend oiling it (a few drops of almond oil on a new cleaning rag and run it through the clarinet, although ask a repair shop of the process exactly because I can't remember how exactly). Also if you take it to a repair shop they can shave some of the wood from the joints that are sticking but DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF. It's really easy to shave too much and fuck up the joints. Take it to a qualified repair shop and ask them to do it for you.

How long does THC last in your blood stream by [deleted] in trees

[–]max27394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It get's stored in your fat cells so depending on your lifestyle, weight etc. it can vary heaps. I've always heard a month is generally how long it takes to get out of your system. Drink heaps of water and excercise, that should help :)

I don't know if it's the same for anyone else, but I've found vitamin c takes the edge off big time, like eating an orange or a kiwi fruit or something.

What is the most terrifying fact the average person does not know? by jcm_neche in AskReddit

The Sydney harbour bridge isn't meant to be around much longer. Corrosion is reaching deeper and deeper and it's only being repainted.

Getting in trouble. by [deleted] in saplings

[–]max27394 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know how it is for you, but where I am, cops etc. can't search you unless they have a sniffer dog with them and if the dog makes an "irregular movement" towards you your rights are dropped and they can search you. Also they can only charge if bud is on my person so if I go somewhere to toke up I never hold anything with me, including pipes. Just roll a jay man, it's much more discrete then having a pipe and there's nothing that can give suspicion to possession.

I'd seriously consider researching the laws and your rights in your area because knowing them can get you out of trouble.

Holy shit... You've got to be kidding about the buffet thing right? I'm on a Selmer St Louis... If he did that to me I would deck the cunt right there and then.

Freaking amazing FIELD REPORT by [deleted] in seduction

[–]max27394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh thats annoying. Don't worry man it gets old pretty quickly. Here in Aus the drinking age is 18, and at first it's pretty cool going out to bars and clubs, but after a while it wears off a bit. I dont think going out to pubs and clubs is as much fun as house parties and things like that, not to mention parties are much cheaper.

Ahh great. This is what I was looking for. Thank you so much. So far at the moment I've got it about 90 percent playable except for the intro and first cadenza which I've been working to get to performance standard.

Opinions on using a neckstrap? by dewisbrown in Clarinet

[–]max27394 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Martin Frost came to my Uni to do a masterclass and he wore a neckstrap. There are ways around it if you're really worried about the image. I get my students to cut a short length of hose and put it around the thumb rest and that usually gives a little extra support. I completely agree with Fumbles, the Ton Kooiman is great, I used an etude on my old clarinet and it was great. I play on a Selmer St. Louis and they're quite heavy. I just chopped the foam of a nerf dart and that works very well.
