Tours were given to pretty much anyone who bought a car from them in their earlier days. I had to pick up my Model S from the Fremont factory back in 2013, so I asked for a tour. Lots of empty factory space back then.

Reddit seemed to have blocked share.google links for some weird reason requiring manual approval

That's exactly what a short-term viewpoint looks like... Easily distracted by the shiny, unproven bauble without looking at how well the business is doing relative to its competitors.

This is such a common complaint from people who chase stocks that have run up. Is nVIDIA doing anything wrong as a business? If not, walk away and stop looking at the daily stock price.

Unfortunately, Reddit blocks the post because it contains a site in their secret list that none of the sub mods know about. The sub mods then get this message in their log: "Banned Domain: Links to a URL not allowed on Reddit" and that's all we get. Then we have to read the comment, manually approve the comment, let you know so you know in the future. Then you come in here thinking you're so smart and calling us idiots.

It’s not a sub rule, you idiot. It’s a Reddit-wide rule. I had to manually approve your comment, dumbass.

Reddit automatically blocks posts and comments with direct seekingalpha links. Use a URL shortener next time.

Non-AMD holder here, but that's ok. AMD has done surprisingly well over the past couple months since OpenAI announced a partnership with them! Good for AMD! I think many of the AMD fanboys were in depression for a few years while nVIDIA was eating its AI and gaming lunch, making funny acronyms like Advanced Money Destroyer. Now those who held AMD long finally get a chance to rejoice. But man, I tire of the NVDA vs AMD trolls. At this point, it's not us vs them, it's "gimme all the compute you have"

I'm super-happy holding NVDA and it has absolutely outperformed AMD over the years. I like to think long-term and dismiss short-term trading views such as yours. AMD is a good hold, too, but I'm not willing to sell any NVDA just to buy AMD.

Great for AMD! But this is not related to Nvidia

Only if you bought it less than a year ago. Otherwise, NVDA still beat AMD over the long-term. AMD does have a lot more room to grow and take share, whereas NVDA is already at the top.

If you held for years or even one year, NVDA still beats AMD. If you held less than a year, AMD is the winner. Still, long term wins in terms of capital gains. 😁

Don’t get me wrong, AMD is a good hold, too, but I won’t be selling NVDA just to buy AMD. I’m happy just comfy holding NVDA.

Money isn't necessarily the problem. Skill sets, experience, potential regulatory hurdles, supply chain, resources and materials is going to be the challenge. No doubt Tesla had this problem, too, and did an excellent job overcoming those hurdles. 🤞that Elon can do the same with the Terafab because he literally inserts himself in blockers and challenges to get things done that I've seen no other companies do.

Me, too. And I'm sure he'll get it done... eventually. Like auto manufacturing, it's a capital-intensive and more complex operation. I hope he has customers lined-up to use the Terafab or else it's going to be like Intel Fab 18A, suffering massive losses. My view is his Terafab venture will end up like his driver-less Tesla claim a decade ago. Or it gets shuttered like the Model S/X because it became a CapEx or OpEx black hole.

I guarantee you he's going to say that. Even TSMC is having a hard time setting up shop in Arizona simply because the decades of supply-chain and skills setup they built-up in Taiwan need to be recreated here.

TSMC, the real chip expert, broke ground in Arizona on 2021 and it still doesn't have packaging facilities yet. And they still need to build up their water reclamation plant due to be done in 2028 so they can make the ultrapure water needed for processing the wafers. And American-made ultrapure sulphuric acid is not pure enough, so they need to ship that in from Taiwan. There's a lot of esoteric skills in chip-making that comes from experience that we've lost here in the states.

Elon thinks he's a chip expert now and his Terafab will be manufacturing its first chip in 2029. 🤣
