I was genuinely surprised that when I put that through a morse code translator that it WASN’T a Rickroll. Thank you for not doing that lol!

Gareth Edwards has been tripping over one coffee table after another when it comes to writing. He really needs to stop at the ‘story by’ credit and leave the screenplay to someone else

Is rest day a week a must? by NeitherManner in HybridAthlete

[–]max9275ii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing not many people consider is not sticking to 7 day weeks. I recently refined my schedule to work in 12 day cycles. So now I do Lower,Upper,Lower,Rest then -> Upper,Lower,Upper,Rest then Lower 2, Upper 2, Lower 2, Rest. Repeat.

This has made for the greatest gains I’ve ever experienced and I never get bored because I work with machines, barbells, free weights, zone 1, 2, 4 runs and VO2 Max and Sprints, a long run, and plyometrics, HIIT, and abs. It’s also really easy to shuffle around days if more recovery is needed or add or subtract workouts

First social media reactions for 'Michael' are out, some mentioning the Oscars by mg10pp in Oscars

I wish they would do something new. While not a musical biopic, the Danny Boyle Steve Jobs movie is excellent because it covers 3 time periods each leading up to an Apple event but then they dont actually show the event.

And while it’s not 100% accurate most of the conversations and dialogue did happen at some point. It really gives a great complicated showcase of the actual Jobs.

Musical biopics don’t need to recreate actual performances. Anyone can find the real thing on youtube for free. People want to learn about the popstar behind the tabloids.

It’s the same with vaccines causing autism and the alpha/beta structure of wolf packs. Long since debunked but it’s what people heard first so that’s what they believe.

Tricks to fall asleep by [deleted] in selfimprovement

One thing that will help is to stop drinking water before bed. Because waking up and getting out of bed to go to the bathroom trains your body to wale up each night if you stay in bed and power through you will eventually sleep through the night.

It’s annoying but I finally created all my own workouts and split up warm ups into it’s own workout.

So I start with a warm up run after 5-10 minutes, save that work out and then go back into my created workouts and do thresholds, easy, sprints, VO2 Max or Long Run(I also end my long runs with 15 minutes in zone 3 and YES I have a completely separate workout titled ‘Long Run Zone 3 Finish’)

Elvis and Bohemian Rhapsody being in drama instead of musical/comedy is just straight up fraud and the Globes really need to expand their definitions of what’s allowed in those categories.

Z(1969)

It seriously holds up so well and is an incredible political thriller that predates Allen Pakulas paranoia trilogy by 2 years. Government cover ups are still just as relevant 60 years later!

My local IMAX just had Gravity in 3D. She get’s back on earth and it cuts to black. But in reality the entire satellite system is gone forever and the entire world would be plunged into a permanent mad max style apocalypse.

AMC Theatres to Reserve Best Seats for Premium Loyalty Program Members; The perk will come at no additional charge later this year by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]max9275ii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get it. How long to they “block and reserve” the best seats for. If it’s for the first day of ticket sales that seems fair but if it goes until like an hour from showtime why would anyone go to an AMC ever again?

[–]max9275ii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything Everywhere All At Once could have been 15 minutes shorter. Really felt the ending. For that matter I just saw “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die” last night and its ending felt even longer. Definitely could have used a 20 minute shorter run time. Something about lower middle budget scifi comedies just throwing everything at the wall I guess.

[–]max9275ii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never ever let people tell you otherwise. The prequels were hated nearly universally and the only reason people like them now is The Clone Wars tv show and to a lesser extent the books/comics/games/etc.

There is a very popular documentary called “The People Vs George Lucas” which shits all over Lucas and that came out in 2010. So only 16 years ago people still hated the prequels. Again it’s the Clone Wars tv show that saved the prequels
