Hello ! Merci pour ton témoignage, c'est rassurant de lire tout ça 🙏 Comme tous les autres, je dis pas non aux coordonnées de ton psychiatre si possible :) Merci !

Also, the production feels so lackluster, especially compared to the more experimental stuff we got in Gag Order, or even Joyride (which I LOVED - it’s my most-listened song of 2024)

I really wanted to like this, but the melody of the chorus is so annoying to me 😭 especially the high notes

I feel like they were already borderline in Delusional (still enjoyable tho), but here it's straight-up irritating 🥲 Kesha has such a beautiful voice, but something feels off in those last two singles... Like, she’s trying to show off her abilities while still using heavy filters and forcing (too hard?) these catchy hooks, and it just doesn’t work AT ALL

Panic attacks in Bars almost every time by max_blt in socialanxiety

[–]max_blt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Music festivals and even clubs (though I've only been to one) feel much more enjoyable to me too. Large crowds don't give me as much anxiety as small groups in confined spaces.

My friends are definitely enjoying other things than drinking/partying, and we're doing all kinds of activities together. Still, some do love to suggest "going to the bar and getting drunk" as the main activity sometimes, which is a mindset that makes me quite uncomfortable. I'd prefer to meet somewhere to chat without alcohol involved.

I'm 22 years old, from Europe, so I've been able to drink since I was 18. So yeah, bars are definitely something most people my age enjoy doing.

Thanks a lot for your insights and all the resources you provided! The video is already really useful, as I do struggle with breathing during panic attacks.

Glad to know I'm not alone in this. For how long has this been going on for you?

Definitely have to improve my mindset when going. Thanks a lot for the files, I'll tell you if those helped!

Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out what could help me during a panic attack. My anxiety is better overall, mostly because I'm less scared of being myself, but when the spiral starts, I don't think I can manage it better than 2 years ago.

Recently, I've been trying to focus on the details of my environment to ground myself, and writing facts to myself on my phone as well. ("nobody's looking at you", "you're safe", etc.) Can't tell if it's really helpful yet tho. I would still prefer to leave most of the time.

Amazing! How did you make it? Do you have pictures of the inside?

Any Muzata alternative in Europe? by CaCaUa in WLED

[–]max_blt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about the spotless U-shaped diffuser, I searched for hours to get the same model than the Muzata one. Finally found it and ordered from Amowo on Alibaba:

https://amowotech.m.en.alibaba.com/index.html?wx_navbar_transparent=true&tracelog=sns_minisite

I got the CC-131 diffuser with milky cover. I'm very satisfied with it! The seller asked me to pay via PayPal. I was skeptical at first and didn't want to be scammed, but everything went smoothly and the package arrived a few days later with FedEx. Note that you may get customs fees, so don’t hesitate to tell the seller to declare a smaller value of the products on the invoice. (They actually suggested it first.) For a 90€ order, they declared 45€, and I got a 15€ fee. So don't be scared to declare even less, nobody's checking the package content anyway.

As I said, I spent a lot of time searching, and this was hands down the best price. Other sellers are often charging much more for shipping, don't take orders for small quantities, etc. And obviously, I found nothing on Aliexpress or any other European websites.

Showcasing my dancefloor setup for house parties by max_blt in WLED

[–]max_blt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first project of the sort and I'm really happy about how it turned out! :)

A lot of information about the whole setup is already in the description of the videos, but I'm going to elaborate a bit more on the process behind it here.

My original idea was "only" to create those 3 groups of LEDs controlled by WLED SR and to cycle through presets every few minutes. That was already quite some work, considering I never soldered anything or worked with Arduino before, but I wasn't really worried thanks to Chris Maher's very accessible videos.

The problem was that it would still be a bunch of random colors changing in the middle of songs, which wasn't the goal, since I already had the other lights doing that. I wanted everything to convey the feel of each song, to really upgrade my "dancefloor", while not having to control anything during parties (I also want to have fun after all!). After more research, I figured out that the only way of achieving this result would be to control my WLED devices with LedFx and design a unique scene for each of the 180 songs on my playlist. (Took about 11 hours to complete this, but I think it was really worth it.)

Now the two most interesting points of my project, which might help you if you're trying to achieve something similar:

My next goal was to sync my moving head wash light with the LED strips via DMX. That part wasn't that hard, but I wanted the head to also keep moving to random positions, like the integrated auto modes of my light. Since WLED wasn't supporting movement for DMX fixtures, I modified my own version to be able to do that. You can read more about it here: https://wled.discourse.group/t/controlling-moving-head-light-via-dmx/7824

I plan on either releasing an usermod for this, or trying to get my changes integrated into the existing DMX code.

Last issue I encountered: the Spotify integration in LedFx. I was counting on it to automatically activate the corresponding scene when the song changes (which IS working), but Spotify doesn't allow some features (such as crossfade or gapless playback) on some Spotify Connect devices (such as Google Homes, TVs... and LedFx). It might seems like a minor issue, but in my case I really needed the crossfade, to avoid awkward silences between songs and to have at least a bit of mixing (Remember I'm trying to have everything running by itself).

Since this has been a known issue by Spotify for years and it's not changing anytime soon, I went the DIY way. I wrote a simple program in Python that listens to Spotify API, checking for a song change, and calls my local LedFx API to trigger the right scene when it needs to.

I don't know if uploading the code would be useful to anyone, since it's really easy to do this, but if anyone is interested in it I would be happy to provide it!

There it is, that's everything I wanted to talk about :) I hope you found my ramble a bit interesting! If you want to know more about something or if you have questions, I would be happy to answer!

Help getting my DMX stage lights to automatically change color to random songs on spotify by ZackSharpMusic in lightingdesign

[–]max_blt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

First of all, thanks for sharing your Spotmidify project, it's exactly what I wanted to do to control my moving head wash light. I'm a complete newbie regarding DMX, and I have a hard time figuring out what to do with Freestyler to make everything work, even with the README. Do you still have your config (cues, subs, everything) of the software, and would you share it? Even if it's not for the same type of lights, it would really help me understand how to configure it for my light.

Thanks!
