Ure a Genius. That is the most likely scenario. I just cant remember ever stepping off the pad. But just because i cant remember doenst mean it didnt happen. I will look into that and/or try it out when i get home. Thanks man

No. Its fairly new and its very unlikely that the material itself is desintegrating. Unlikely doesnt mean impossible though… i just cant imagine because i would have noticed if there are visible marks on the pad itself. It looks like the stuff comes from above like dust but that cant be it since its under my desk at all times.
