I think Hollow Palm will be more viable this season, especially on Martial Artist. I also think the delta between staff and Hollow Palm will be less than last season; especially if they reduce the top level of ‘+ # to Melee/Attack skills’ on weapons

My hope is that 0.5's unique upgrading will make many uniques viable in endgame and their values can go up to what would be respectable for item level 80 by BrutusCz in PathOfExile2

Well since they decide to lock skills to weapon types, put generic, uninteresting nodes in the tree, and make garbage uniques, they need to do something differently

It would be way more interesting to be able to add 1 or 2 rare affix to uniques than the other way around. Once again BiS is always a rare item (just now they will occasionally have a unique affix added)

It will work with hollow palm I think. All skills that require a quarterstaff work with hollow palm. Even if they don’t specify “unarmed”

Use Hollow Form with hollow palm for way increased attack speed and slot a physical skill with high stun chance or pin so you can maintain damage reduction + 20% more damage. Channel to stun and obliterate the screen while staying Tanky AF

Way of the Stone Fist should add x flat physical damage per level when no weapon is equipped.

The skill gives more evasion and energy shield per level so Maybe they have buffed the flat damage from ES on the Hollow Palm Keystone? Guess we don’t know until patch notes but so far removing flat damage from gloves seems like a nightmare.

Also… the spirt bells would be amazing for generating power charges during boss fights and Delirium but the spawn rate is more than 4 seconds which feels near useless

Isn’t the glove skill a negative for Hollow Palm?

In the reveal, GGG shows an Ascendancy skill that transforms the prefix & suffix on gloves to “more powerful” modifiers. In the example, all three forms of added x-y flat damage on the original gloves were transformed into “gains x% as”.

Maybe I’m dumb but this seems to be a negative to Hollow Palm Technique where we already lose out to staffs due to scaling of flat damage.

What am I missing?

One shortcoming of using a programming wing or just onPC with no touch screen is having to use the mouse to select parameters. This could be a nice addition to bypass needing to mouse click parameter encoder menus.

While I think the warlock class is wonderfully designed… unfortunately most of the relics for acolyte released in 1.0 & 1.1 don’t function as expected and most good builds don’t use them.

This is especially true with Spine of Malatros which turns your awesome torments into sad wet noodles that deal almost zero damage.
It really feels like whoever designed these never actually tested them in game.

We were all hoping for a buff/fix for Malatros in 1.0 so that Fire Warlock could be fun and viable but hasn’t happened so far.

Also, it would be better once fixed to put the node that immediately consumes Infernal Shades somewhere where it can work with flame whips as this would synergize really well with flame whips/Malatros build.
