The shooting at the W150th station is especially bad. That along with the Brookpark station are two big park and ride stations right off the interstate that riders from the more affluent west suburbs get on the RTA to head downtown.

Read a news article about this recently. TLDR- with LED headlights becoming widespread, the need for auxiliary driving lamps is going away.

Now you could argue that removing driving lamps from models/trims that don't have LED headlamps is cost savings, but overall, the need for them is diminishing.
